So I had a TPW of 12/5. Jokingly, always said I expected a late January delivery. My car has been 4300 status since 12/8. My dealer says it has finally made it to Birmingham but he has no idea when it will get trucked to the dealership, which is only 2 hours away. This is a max F'n NO-GO in my book. GM gave me an expected delivery date of 12/21 and I've been trying to be patient about this but I'm losing faith rapidly at this point. Any suggestions as what to do next? I feel like I'm getting screwed on this. Is it just me? Am I being too impatient? How do I hold GM accountable for busting my expected delivery date by 20 days? Or do I just stfu and keep waiting?

As far as I know GM doesn't give "expected delivery dates", just dealers do that and it is all speculation. There really isn't any way to know for sure as shipping has many variables. Some cars ship faster, others take longer depending on location and other things. Yes, yours is taking longer than normal, but remember GM was closed for about two weeks for the holidays too.

On my invoice there was a projected delivery date of 4 Dec, and the car didn't show up until the 12th. I guess after they are built they add that to the invoice.

Pretty sure that is just a projected number from the carrier though. Not set in stone...

Yea, I felt like it was a bit long too. The problem I have, is that it went 4300 around 8 December. If I'm correct, 4300 is "interim transit". In my world, that means they had plenty of time to get my car to me prior to the "Christmas break." Now we're two weeks into 2017 and it still hasn't made it to me. I could have walked to Michigan and picked it up myself in that amount of time.

An entire military base can be moved to a foreign country faster than GM can move a single Camaro from Michigan to Mississippi. smh.

4200 and 4300 have a few different possible meanings. Did you have Becky check the status?

I haven't had her check since the 8th. Beck is SUPER busy and I feel bad bothering her with it when someone at my dealership is actually getting paid to have that responsibility. I guess I should ask her since she is the all seeing Oz when it comes to this stuff.

Also the holidays always push things back substantially,
Combined with assembly plant taking time out of their schedule recently

Really? 20 days is nothing? wow, I've got my head wrapped around this the wrong way if that's the case. I had a ducati shipped to Japan from Ohio and it only took 30 days. It can't be unreasonable to think it should only take a week-ish to ship something from Michigan to Mississippi.

She just checked, 4200, shipped. That's lockstep with what the dealership is telling me. That's a plus I guess.

Took delivery of mine this morning. Surprisingly it feels like it has quicker steering than my STI. Also I can definitely feel the weight difference. Still don't know how half the stuff works yet. I adjusted the mirror and accidently hit the OnStar Emergency button and didn't know how to turn it off. They called me and I said I was new to the car and was a moron. He laughed.
