Have you read the list rules? They specifically say STOCK TIRES for bone stock, therefore changing tires means not bone stock.

At some point each of us have to change the tires on our car. We may not choose the F1's. I think its ok to change to another brand and still be stock. However if you change the size from the stock size you are not stock and have to choose a different category for drag racing.

Devil's advocate on changing tire choice being stock: The person in question rattled off several 1.7 60' times with the Continentals. I've only gotten lucky once and hit a 1.7 to get our 11.99 run on the stock run flats, but I had a tune and a PTB to help out. Granted, this person has a really strong car as it already traps in the 117-118 MPH range which is 5-6MPH more than my car could do in a 200' DA in FL. It may be the fastest "stock" Camaro we have seen.

I've brought this up as well, and was told no, when they put a M6 guy who swapped his street tires to a different brand (not drag radials or anything like that either). I totally agree that people will have to replace their tires, and they may not buy the same ones...heck, at some point they won't even be made anymore. So then what, everyone is "bolt on"? I say if they are the same size, who cares. The car is still stock!

So he would not qualify as bone stock for choosing a different street tire than the F1's and can't list for category 2?

Yes, he left out the information on tires used on the pass in his list post. But, he admitted changing the tires in another thread, a screen shot of that discussion is below:

Yes. Need to go back and find his previous pass. Pretty sure I moved him up the list when I updated it last time. I'll remove him from the list now and add him when I can confirm numbers from last bone stock pass.

According to the "rules", yes...

Not sure who actually made the "rules", but I think it should be a community vote, not one persons choice, as the Mustang forums allow street tire changes of the same size. Not allowing that here is a huge oversight.

Going by the "rules" here in a few years when Goodyear stops making that particular tire no cars can be on the stock list as they will all have "bolt on" tires...that makes zero sense, and is pretty dumb.

These rules have been in existence since I started managing the Fast Lists in 2009 on Camaro 5. At that time the Six Gen Camaro wasn't even a wet dream then! Rules are the Rules and the List's are based on Honesty.
