They are very tight but it did not feel like I stripped them (I've stripped plenty of screws and such so I'm all too familiar with the feeling!). They continued to get tight, no "level off" or getting looser, so I think I should be ok...

Had lift points on for 3 years. They are still there and used them last weekend on all four corners to get wheels/calipers super clean. Never checked to see if they are loose...
I learned if you take the car in for anything, let them know the lift points are on the car...

When I installed my six lift pads, I actually put a strip of 3M VHB the length of the pad on the side opposite of the set screws, just in case the set screws would actually ever back out so there was a secondary restraint holding the pad to the frame rail. Hopefully long enough for routine inspections when I check everything out. I also used loctite, of course, on the set screws.

Changed the differential fluid and did an oil change in my '21 1SS. Just hit 1,600 miles today so figured I'd do the break in period stuff. Differential was super clean, probably didn't have to change it honestly. Very little gunk on the magnetic plugs. I've seen a lot of people have pretty gnarly looking fluid after only the first few thousands miles so figured I'd do it.
Oil looked not terrible either. Fairly dark but otherwise clean. Took forever to fill her up with doing 1 quart at a time. Went with the Mobil 1 EOS Dexos2 thing that is supposedly specific to corvettes/camaros. Let me say, I've done a lot of oil changes and never have I spent $100 just on oil before. That was new to me.

Nice weather this evening so I did another WOT run at one of my favorite freeway on ramps...one where it opens up into an extra lane.
Lucked out with a big traffic gap so peaked at 119 mph (193 kmh) before I had to back off to downshift decelerate without braking for the traffic that I was catching up with, then cruised with the rest of the traffic in the fast lane at 70 mph. |

Hit 4,000 miles on the odometer and did an Oil & Filter change (3rd one to date, others were at 505 miles & 1,500 miles). Was going to do the differential again (last changes were 505 & 1,500 miles as well) but decided to hold off until the next oil change to do the diff again...

One 10mm bolt covered by a rubber plug in the back for the gas pedal. Pull it forward and it will come out of the floor. Undo red locking clip and unplug it and repeat backwards. Gas pedal takes less than 5 mins. Old brake pedal comes off and the new one goes back on in its place. Prepare to say some swear words trying to get the lip to go over all sides on the back plate at once. Royal pain in the ass... I would start with the side closest to the gas pedal and I had to use some plastic pry tools to get the lip unfolded for the top left corner. Some dawn dish soap also helps it move more against the metal back plate.
