It would seem that NONE of the big 3 can keep up on production for any model. I certainly wouldnt conclude that the public doesnt want ANY car because of what is selling. Dealers for all brands have very little inventory compared to 4 years ago, Camaro included. We ordered an V6 Denali Acadia in early Jan 2022 and were told it might build that model year. It wound up moving to a 2023 order that wasnt built until Dec. 2022. The ZLE Camaro I ordered in mid Sept 2019 was delivered by the end of Nov. 2019 and that was in spite of a GM strike!

I have orders in at 5 MN dealers, and 1 Fargo area dealer. None of which have gotten any ZL1 allocations. All dealers sold over 3 ZL1's each last year. I thought my chances were pretty good at getting one but its not looking good with only a handful of allocation days left. Been searching for a 23 as well, but no such luck. |

Anyone care to take a guess at how production numbers for '24 could end up?
Did I understand correctly from the other thread that the LT1 engines are currently on constraint?

Looks like there are 13 24’s in stock (not in transport) at the below dealer.
If inclined, ask for Nate. I have seen 2 out front https://www.serrawhelan.com/VehicleS...t&model=Camaro

I just picked up my convertible SS from there last night. Had to take what they had in transit so did not get the color combo I originally wanted to order, but it matches my 2010 color setup perfectly so must it be a sign...

Today is the final consensus for 2024. If your dealer doesn't have a Camaro on todays consensus, they won't get any allocations for the last order cycle next week.
We were fortunate enough to get 2 for the final week. |

I want to personally thank you for all you've done for this forum. It is because of you I got orders in early, and once your info came through each week for constraints it made me try harder and harder to find one elsewhere. I found one and called last night to get my deposits back for the orders I did have in. Talked to the sales manager last night at the dealer I had an order in at and said no consensus for an allocation this week. Chances aren't looking good. He was still going to let me know if they get one next week, just for piece of mind. It is appreciated to have someone like you giving us insider info which helps achieve our goals. Thank you! |

What is a ‘consensus’ and how does that relate to receiving allocations? |

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. The very reason the Camaro is being shuttered is in fact, political and EV motivated.
Even Bob Lutz just chimed in on this - it's a fact that must continuously be discussed and more importantly, VOTED on by US, not just shoved into the back or into another thread. https://nypost.com/2023/09/03/ex-aut...ric-car-sales/

Asking for a friend, do you know what allocations you will be getting? 2SS by chance?
