Got mine installed. I was worried something was rubbing at first, because when you stab the throttle a little, you hear a little 'clanking' noise with the suction. Everything looks fine though.

When you get on it, it sounds amazing now. Throttle seems a little less 'mushy' too. This and a throttle body will really wake it up I believe.

I haven't driven it enough for readiness to complete yet, but I haven't gotten any codes.

Also, I didn't have to cut the metal clip for the breather tube. If you're careful, you can loosen it up a bit and wiggle the tube out of there. Took about 5-7 minutes for that step, but it'll be easy to put the tube back in the stock intake and squeeze that clip to hold it again if need be.

Do you have a photo of the breather tube? Is this like a sound tube?

I never hacked mine apart. I have swapped Mine a few times out aleady. It's actually the quickest CAI I have ever put on and removed.

I watched the Phastec install video and saw they had to gorilla that fitting.
You got yours just to slip off?

That Phastec install was painful to watch! He did NOT follow the instructions at all. It is much easier than he made it look. Also, RotoFab has its own install video on youtube that makes thing much smoother. This upgrade sounds awesome. You can hear the"gulp" of air when giving it throttle and the SuperCharger whine is much louder. I did not dyno, so all I can say is it "feels" stronger and more responsive.

I will talk to the engineer of our CAIs about possible ways to make swapping back and forth more manageable.

It may take a few days, but I will let you know what we come up with!

I would also like to not have to remove the tube from the stock system.
Would it really cost that much to include it with the system???
I mean it's a plastic tube.

Just a heads up, I believe oiled filter systems are in stock. Dry will likely be a few days out.

Thanks!

My dry kit should up yesterday after being on back order. Now I just need to figure out where to purchase that tube peace because I am not altering my stock intake. I did not know about that tell after I ordered it and read about it in this thread. Honestly might have waited tell the kit came with the tube. 500 bucks and I have to cut a clamp off my stock system to retain a piece of plastic, not happy.
