Some pictures from the track event at Ridge Motorsports Park this Friday (March 31st)

I finally had a chance to test the new wheels and tire combo (more details in my build thread if interested)

Next to a friend and his C6 Grand Sport

and a video from the event,

Car looks sick on the '19's! Nice, tidy driving. That track looks like a blast, that 2nd gear left hander reminds me of Laguna's corkscrew! Try flat shifting next time... adds to the experience!

Thanks! good eye btw, it's also called "corkscrew" at the Ridge(RMP)

I might work on my shifting I guess, I was trying not to rush the transmission since I had some 2nd-3rd gear engagement issue with my old C6 Grandsport but I might try that sometime,

Yeah for sure on speed shifting, I also try and be mechanically sympathetic... you don't have to shift hard, it's just a really cool feature.

Here are a couple photos from Putnam Park last weekend. PDR video to follow a bit later. The top photo is me chasing down a late 5th gen 1LE that was well driven. These photos are on the smaller '18 x 10 track wheels. What a fun weekend with 10/10ths Motorsports.

Looks great guys! You've got me really thinking about those M3 take off wheels. I have a lot of friends with track only e46 M3's, I might swap them on one day.

I think he was referring to Apex wheels. They are available in many sizes but mostly in BMW specs/offsets. I believe this is the one he used:
https://www.apexraceparts.com/wheels...c-8-wheel.html
Seems like a good option if you're not planning to run tires any wider than 285s

For the reference, the wheels that I purchased was on sale (I think they're still are) so that I was able to get them $260 a piece and they're wider

Exactly. I purchased these from a good friend who is selling his M3 race car who gave me a great deal. If I was purchasing new, I'd get 10.5 square.

The only problem with the 18x10.5 is that it may cause fitment issues because of the offsets. I think 18x10" with +25mm offset should be very close and 10.5" might create some fitment issues.

Below picture is with 5mm spacer and -2.2 camber ( 19x10.5" +22mm offset) if I were to go with 18" wheels with the same offset the wheel lips would probably touch the strut arms under load

Thanks, good information. I'll plan to stick with the 18 x 10's for now. I might consider getting a set of 19x 10.5 in the future.

Here are a couple videos at Putnam Park from this past weekend with10/10ths Motorsports. I'm running on OE Ferodo pads with SRF fluid. The top video is on the OE wheels with 295/30 square RE71R street tires. There isn't any big difference in overall chassis balance--the car felt amazing on the OE Goodyears, and it's even better on the Bridgestones. Overall lateral grip is a little better (not big difference), longitudinal grip is definitely better (straight line braking/accel), and wet grip is much improved. I certainly wouldn't replace the Goodyears until they're thoroughly worn out, but the RE71R is a great option when you are in need of tires. These aren't my best laps on the RE71R, I forgot to turn in PDR for those! The AIM solo got em though, 1:16.2. The car is 1:15 capable on street tires.

The second video is on fairly used up 280mm square take off Yokohama slicks. The car was definitely faster on the slicks, but they are at the end of their life and not feeling great. With fresher take-offs the car easily could drop 1.5-2.5 seconds per lap. Also, don't forget... my wheel/tire package on slicks is 5.5% smaller OD than stock, so my speedometer is 5.5% fast. 140 mph= 132.3mph
