I wish I knew. Last time I was at Beech Bend all day setting up vendors. This year probably the same, but hopefully I can break away late after noon and get at least one session in with the new ZL1. |

HEY GUYS!!!!
HEY!!! We're HALFWAY THERE! Pressure your friends, and spread the word - sign up for the Corvette Museum Track Day at the Camaro Fest, so we can use the full course! (I'm thrilled...we've only had the thread up for two weeks!) |

I highly doubt it. If I'd heard that it was, I'd made the effort to get the game and whatever gear it required to play it. It's a relatively new "track" and not really ready for full on spectator racing yet. I really hope to see it taken to that level but I ain't on the Board of Directors for the track. It would be really cool to have some world class racing events there.

Matt and i have been on IRacing to scan the track. Matt even inlisted the Taylor boys when they were there for pre season super secret DP testing. we figured they would have more pull with IRacing being high profile members.
here is some stuff to look at. a person should know the turn numbers. if you are talking to another driver, an instructor, or in class, you will be talking about the right place lol. track map PDF. |

here is a tutorial i always send with the track map. its me riding with my wife. she is 100 lbs and gets some strange looks when she gets out after running through the field.
this is a good one by NASA. it highlights the corner workers stands as well. |

thank you guys for putting this on. this year we are hoping for sunny skies and lots of track time. i didnt want to put too much crap in here and jack the thread, but its a long way til july. im working on a video with passing zones and some situational awareness instances. im just really excited the camaro crew is coming back to BG.

Those were really cool videos JOHNSONROD. I especially liked some of the names for the corners. T10I expect I won't be the only one to call it that. Does the NCM home crew call them that as well?
I have a suggestion for naming Ts 22&23. "Stab it 'n Steer it" Get a big sign nearby with knife, fork and a plate of steak. Since there's a Turtle Alley maybe 22 & 23 ought to be named "Frog Leg Pass"? "If you screw these up yer gonna get passed" |

the turn 10 name never stuck. we call it hair pin now. the other names like sinkhole are still used. Deception will always be called that. Table top is the flat spot right after turn 14. some of us locals at the track call the 8-9 area Oasis because of the little shaded tree area to the left. we call the 21 -23 area the esses. turn 6 -13 can be referred to as the infield. as i type this, we have a lot of lil names for stuff lol.

Very helpful. I've only been on the full course once. Tons of tack to remember. Thanks!
