Got my OnStar activated only to find out my car is at a train yard in Hammond, Indiana. Unfortunately my dealer had told me it was in Milpitas, Ca, only 100 miles away from me. I sure hope it starts moving soon, but at least it's not in Lansing.

If your car is truly moving, then your dealer can provide you the rail car number. It's in the Event History of the Workbench Order.

With the rail car number, you can track the car without using your OnStar. Plus you'll get an ETA from the rail company and learn what rail yard will receive the car.

Ask your dealer for the rail car number.

I was told that the car was shipping to Charlotte but as of this morning it looks like it was unloaded in Livonia.
