I don't like the exterior, especially the rear. The interior looks nice, though. It is cool to see it have the color changing lights, like the Mustang has had for years. I can't stand all the blue lighting in my red car with black interior... it doesn't fit. Also, it looks like the cup holders are in a better spot. The cup holders in my 2010 are almost useless, because anything in them gets in the way of the shifter.
As for exterior, I like the 2014-15 front end. The smaller grill makes it look more aggressive. But I prefer the tail lights of the 2010-2013. They look more unique to me. The 2014-15 taillights and the new 6 gen look too much like the ones on all the other cars. |

I, for one, won't be running to the dealer for a 6th gen, but I will be jealous of those that get the as with all the goodies.
I like the looks just fine. The power boost of the LT1 is a plus, as is the 200lb weight savings, but I'm really jealous of the ACTIVE REV MATCH on the 6 speed! No worries for me, though. Love my 1le and it will(have to) serve me well for years...

That car is freaking Sick, and I mean in a BadAss way!!!
GM did their homework on this one, and if my truck was paid off I would have one in a heart beat. Great Job GM, well played!!! The Mustang just took a back seat "again"!!

The tail lights on the 6th gen blow away the 14-15 model by a mile...
The 14-15 model was always meh to me, except the 1LE and Z/28, they never wanted me to trade in what I have but the 6th gen has me by the ballSS..

I think it looks terrible. Inside always looks good on any new car, so whatever The exterior is horrible. It looks clunky and odd from the side, just not smooth and sleek. I will never be buying a 6th generation. I will hold on to me 12 ZL1 for a very long time.

Obviously seeing it live instead of crappy CNBC pics are a lot better. The interior I think GM hit a homerun with especially with the push start, dual climate, and among other things. The rear bumper is terrible. They should of just kept the rear from the Gen 5. Never should of refreshed the 14/15. Front looks to be really aggressive. Not feeling the Jaguar style vents and Audi headlights, but I'll have to see one in person. All in all personally I will be keeping my Gen 5 and see what else GM will add to the car in 17/18'

It's funny. I saw this same exact rhetoric on the Mustang forums when the 2015 was revealed. People were crying foul that Ford destroyed their precious muscle car. I'm not exactly sure what people there, or even here expect to happen when a new generation comes out.
/rant It's like they want all kinds of improvements but, don't change anything. Make it lighter, more nimble and over all, quicker car but, make it cost the same or less (don't change the exterior styling though); or make it suddenly reverse it's evolution and turn it into the 60's era model or it'll be heckled as ugly. Look, the 10-13 cars are not the 60's era cars. They resemble them but they are not them. Once again 10-13 =/= 60's. What in the world do people want? Do you want the car to stay stagnant for years on end or do you just want GM, Dodge, Ford, etc. to release an exact clone of the 60's cars with modern technology but somehow make it globally competitive? With that being said, I welcome all the change and I'm disappointed that they didn't go with a revolutionary design (I know the spy shots and renderings were pretty much spot on) and instead they went with an evolutionary design. For the love of whatever god you chose to believe in, move away from all things retro. How many more years are we going to beat this dead horse? Do you think your 10-13 looks better? Congratulations, you can keep it! Amazing. I personally think that the 2015 Mustang and the 2016 Camaro look great and they both went through some much needed changes - albeit, just not enough changes. It's a global market now, you can't just produce cars that are one trick ponies with stagnant exterior styling and expect them to continue to sell. /rant off
