Man, talk about no good deed going unpunished. Guy's trying to be helpful and offers insider info, just to catch undeserved flak

Thanks for posting this! I have ordered a 2SS M6 with NPP, when I checked Friday it was at event code 3000. Restraint 1905 appears to read as a constraint for all LT1 engines with MN6 without NPP, if I am reading that correctly. Hoping that means I will not be under the constraint. Fingers crossed! When I ordered my car two weeks ago, the dealer showed me all the constraints as we were ordering the car at his computer, If I remember correctly all the same ones were there then except 1905. Appreciate the information share... |

The Sales Manager at the dealership displayed the screen for me, it looked exactly like DylansZLE's first picture above in this thread. At the bottom it showed Allocation QTY 1, Placed QTY 1, as he had told me he had gotten 2 allocations that morning and he had just ordered a convertible. He ordered my car and it went straight to event code 2000 (Accepted by GM) so I knew it was legit, he showed me the screen again and displayed TPW 8/23. This is the first time I have ever seen the screens before, but I feel pretty confident that is the correct place to see the allocations available, perhaps DylansZLE will verify that if he continues to follow this thread. I'd think if you can find a dealer that would print that same screen for you and text or email it, you should be able to verify. The screens are very simple, a car can truly be ordered and paperwork printed in less that 5 minutes. This Sales Manager obviously has ordered many cars in the past, it does appear from reading other posts in this thread that finding someone making it this easy isn't always the case. Guess I got lucky. Last I checked my order has moved to event code 3000. I hope this helps... Good luck! (BTW, I need to change my name, this will be my 7th Camaro, but over a 35 year span... #oldguy) Last edited by Seventh Camaro; 08-09-2021 at 12:24 AM. |

I got quite a surprise today when I checked in with the dealer. I had placed an order in March for a 1SS1LE and of course all the trouble started with chips and all the other issues that could go wrong, so I just go on and don't think anything else about it, well today I find out my car is at 3400 with a TPW of 8/16/21 well it turns out the dealer which I've had a long time friendship with and have bought several cars and trucks from converted the order to a 2022!! Never said a thing to me, just by pure coincidence do I drop in and find out!!!

I just ordered my 22 ZLE and my status is 1100.
Looks like my dealer has no (more?) allocation yet. What should be the general expectation for allocations going forward? Am I in for a long wait? Thanks |
