Yeah I like the 18" rims also, and for some retarded reason, they are not even an option on the Z71!! WTH are they thinking? If someone is willing to spend the $1000 or so up charge for available rims they should be an option for the Z71 also!! There are no rim options for that trim so I guess right off the bat the aftermarket is in the scope

Colorado is #2 now... Look out Toyota here we come...

DETROIT – More 2015 Chevrolet Colorados have been sold in Los Angeles than any other city to date, and the 2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year® has overtaken the Nissan Frontier to become No. 2 in market share nationally.

“L.A. was a big target for the Colorado, where people can use the utility of a pickup, but don’t necessarily have the space for a full-sized truck,” said Tony Johnson, marketing manager for the Colorado. “The in-roads we’ve made there are proof that it is the right fit for that market.”

Over 40 percent of Colorado buyers are trading in non-General Motors’ products, and Colorado customers are also younger, with more than 17 percent of Colorado buyers occupying the 16- 35-year-old age bracket.

Colorado owners also are buying into the active lifestyle the truck allows, with more than four in 10 Colorado pickups being ordered with factory-installed accessories. This includes the patent-pending GearOn™ Cargo System, an adjustable cargo solution that allows two-level storing of equipment, such as bikes, canoes and boards above the bed and other items below the bed.

The Colorado’s home market of St. Louis – just 41 miles from the Colorado factory in Wentzville, Mo. – is another strong market, ranking seventh in national sales.

Yeah they can't keep them in the lots here, every time I get a call a truck is in, it's sold by the time I get to go look at it!! Want to take one for a test drive and check it out in person, I would hate to have to order one and miss out or not like an option that is available

I went to the auto show and test drove one. I was worried about the shifter on the floor but once in gear it's totally out of the way.

The long lines were for the Stingray and the guys kept asking me if I wanted to drive one of those too. Lots of friends with Stingrays I could jump in and drive so no need for that. The truck drove great.

Glad to see the Colorado selling well. Hope that continues to improve. I also hope Laser blue becomes and stays popular so it will be around when it comes time for me to get one.

I for one...really like the 18" optional rims for the Colorado. That would be my choice for sure. The 17s are OK, and then Z71 rims are OK, but neither look as good as the 18s to me.
They are the standard 17's painted black. But I plan to get a Z71 unless GM offers something different in the near future, but the Z71 rims are just bland.

This shot has the Z71 package matched with the black 17's, and I would go for this.

I hope we see an LGX 8speed Colorado before a full refresh or next generation. Ext. cab, Laser Blue Z71 4x4 with that drivetrain would be an awesome daily driver and a truck I would keep for a long time.

I actually like the grill/front more on the GMC than the Chevy. Looks more "bolder/stronger" to me. The chrome grill would be much easier to maintain. If I get the Chevy, I would definitely want a clearbra on the front.

The Colorado’s home market of St. Louis – just 41 miles from the Colorado factory in Wentzville, Mo. – is another strong market, ranking seventh in national sales.

So, I keep trying to use Chevy's website to price one out, but the thing I always get confused on is the GearOn system.

In the above photo, I want the utility rack so I can load 3 or 4 kayaks up top, but I'm trying to figure out which option to select on the build your own site.

On the "Options" tab there's a bunch of package options:

1) GearOn Bars package
2) GearOn Divider Package
3) GearOn Utility Rack Package

And then there's a bunch of stand-alone Exterior options:

a) GearOn Cross rails tiered storage system
b) GearOn Utility rack load stops
c) GearOn Cargo tie-down rings
d) GearOn Pickup box cargo divider

Based on the website here's what comes with each package:

1 comes with 'a' and 'c'
2 comes with 'c' and 'd'
3 comes with 'a' only

1 cannot be ordered with 2 or 3. But 2 and 3 can be ordered together.
1 can be ordered with 'b', but not with 'd'
If you add 'a' to 2 it automatically adds '3' but if you add 'b' to 2 it adds 1 and 'a' but removes 2 and 'd'
3 can be ordered with 2 or 'c' but if you add 'c' and 'd' it automatically adds 2
If you add 'b' to 3, it removes 3 and adds 1

If you're still following along - Given all that, then you go to the "Accessories" page and there's more options to pick.

Under 'Bed Products' there's:

- GearOn Pickup Box Carrier Cross Rails

And then under 'Cargo Management - Exterior' there's:

- GearOn Utility Rack (does this automatically come with 3 / 'a' above?)
- Ladder Rack (Half ladder Rack)
- Ladder Rack (Single Cross Bar)
- Ladder Rack (Cantilever Cab Over Extension)
- Ladder Rack (2 Cross Bars)
- Bed/Roof-Mounted Kayak Carrier (Folding J Style)
- Bed/Roof-Mounted Bicycle Carrier - Wheel Mount
- Bed/Roof-Mounted Kayak Carrier (Kayak Saddle Style)
- Bed/Roof-Mounted Ski Carrier
- Bed/Roof-Mounted Stand Up Paddle Board Carrier

To say this is confusing is an understatement...

Essentially, I want this (but crew cab):

But I want to try and squeeze 3 or 4 kayaks across the top. Think it's doable?

Anyone here a member of the coloradofans.com site?

I tried to register, but their "NoSpam! Verification Question" is broken and won't accept the correct answer no matter how often I do it.

It's kind of pissing me off...
