I had fun in the 80's only because I was of a certain age. The "Decade" had nothing to do with it. The 80's were not much different than any other decade when looked back at it through hind-site. The music sucked, the cloths sucked, the hair sucked, alot of the movies were good but were ruined because the score and or soundtrack was nothing but sinthysisers(sp). The only really good thing about the 80's for me was the fact that I started 1980 at the age of 15 and ended 1989 at the age of 25.

I miss the simplicity of not having the internet, mass media or cell phones.

I see where you're coming from, but it seemed like a fun decade. I was able to enjoy the last couple years of it, but was too young to be in the heart of it all. Yeas the clothes were atrocious and much of the music, but I will admit I'm a fan of some of the cheesy one hit wonder songs. At that time though I was more into The Boss, hard rock and metal. It just seems that times were easier then than they are now. You didn't have all this PC shit with the fear of offending someone or hurting their feelings, you still had the right to say Pledge of Allegiance, etc.
