Something is definitely going on. The time isn't too far off in my opinion, but he should definitely be seeing more than 21 mph after the 1/8th. The DA wasn't too bad, but I think he'll see at least another .3 in great air, once he gets the tune sorted out.

Why is this time so far off? Lets rule out the questionable hero runs for the A10 and the average is 11:20s - 11:50s, this puts him anywhere from a half second or more improvement over stock. Considering his mods I would think that is right in line with the improvements to be expected. What is his RWHP?

Unless you compare his similar mods to that of the GM ZL1 drag test car running 10.0 @ 138 He is running meth vs the test car running 110 octane. Seems like a wash to me.

Like I said, I don't think his time is too far off...I do question the mph though. 104 mph in the 1/8 is ok, but I think he should be somewhere in the high 120s to low 130s with those mods. It doesn't make sense that he only picks up a little over 21 mph after the 1/8th

Heat kills these ZL1s and with high IATs they will pull timing and nose over on the big end.

Another nailed it. If I end up keeping this car I might go Procharger. Problem solved and it's a little easier on the drive train at sane power levels.

You can't discount any time on the list, because even the best driver or the fastest car can run a time anywhere on that list, depending on the conditions and experience with the car. Ask me how I know. That's why you're actually better off comparing these "hero" runs as you call them, because there is going to be fewer variables in those times. You know they were made in the best conditions possible and the driver more than likely got all that could be gotten out of it at that time. The further down the list you go, the more likely it is that something held the car back from it's TRUE potential, whether it be temperature, elevation, track conditions, car setup, driver experience/ability, or any combination of those.

I totally agree. Even though he got a good time out of it, I think there is some time that could and would be shaved off, if the car pulled like it should, and I'd think the car should 60 better. Maybe torque management hasn't been removed to let it come out of the hole as hard as it should. Idk. It's plain as day though, that the car isn't pulling the back half and likely even losing some in the front half, even though the 1/8 mph looks good. Even at stock power levels, he should've ran around 130 in the 1/4 with his 1/8 mph. So I'd think the car should run between 132 and 135, depending on the air temp. Maybe better.

Most people seem to be 550rwhp range stock yet 10.9 is the best on the fast list, and most are in the 11.2-11.6 range. I saw a post from a Bolt on SS at 490rwhp run 10.85, so why are our bolt on guys not doing much better with more power. I know the TQ management is killing 60ft times, but with some of the bolt on guys that have posted i assume are tuned and still only running 10.7 range.

Maybe they didn't remove TM in their tune? Nonexistent track prep where they ran? They should definitely have better 60s than 1.6s. Big Dave and myself have both managed high 1.6s bone stock on the factory tires, so something's not right. If it is TM, then you'll see a bigger gain than what you'd see just from a traction improvement. So instead of the typical 1.5-2× lower 1/4 ET from better grip, you're likely to see 3-4x or more whatever the 60' gain is, because TM is active for more than just 60'. It may take a trans tune as well to get the true potential out of these cars.
