Lot of money to spend and I'd be gun shy after the Gen5 ZL1's performance.
7:29 on the ring, heat issues? Dynos lack real airflow.

^^ I hope that's all it is. I know Dodge did a TON of work on cooling and the Hellcat has like 4 different intercoolers to combat heat so they're not as affected.

The ZL1 has 11 heat exchangers.

I am so afraid of the heatsoak issue, Having a 5th Gen ZL1, heatsoak SUCKS. My friends Hellcat and GT500 gets ZERO heatsoak. I wont buy a 6th Gen until I'm convinced of no heatsoak.
Living in south FL, heatsoak is a big problem for me.

It has an intercooler and auxiliary intercooler which that article has mislabeled as it should say heat exchanger, which must be for the blower, that "should" get it done.

I want those 305s on the back! That undercarriage pic was awesome!

Look forward to your results mkorgan. You gonna hit the drag strip or road course? With a manual trans buckle up LOL!

The Hellcat has 3 dedicated ones for the blower up front.

I have driven a hellcat and granted my car is not broke in but really it's hard to tell which is faster. Honestly it may become and traction contest lol!

I just can't believe that they get ZERO heatsoak. There has to be some having a SC that generates a lot of heat on top of the motor itself.

Someone is lying to you my friend. The GT500 heat soaks like crazy. I'd loose 5mph at the track going from run one to run 4 or 5. Then the car would need to sit for atleast an hour before it was ok to run again.

I doubt there is zero heat soak. Watch the video of the ring ZL1 run, for 7 minutes and 29 seconds the car stays in the power band. If it had heatsoak issues there would have been a loss of power which there might be some but not enough to hurt the cars performance.

And if the M6 has heatsoak issues you bet the A10 will be worse. Let's just hope it was a slightly miscalibrated dyno compiled with a tired city traffic driving car with partly 89octane still in the tank.

Heatsoak for a blower sitting on a dyno and over-heating an auto trans are two entirely different issues.

As for the trans, the Ring time should alleviate those fears. The 8L90 would have not made it, hence why we never saw a video of it making a run. So if GM released the video of the A10 running it, it's a major accomplishment.
