It would also seem easier to turn up the boost on twin turbos vs a supercharger. The car would most likely put the extra power down better because of the mid engine layout.

Agreed. Twin 76mm turbos have a good bit more upside than a 2650 blower. And also agree on the mid engine layout traction advantage.

The AMG GT Black series completed the 12.944 length in 6:48.047 with a professional driver.

The ZR1X completed the same length in 6.49.275 with an experienced production engineer.

I assure you, that if Maro Engel were driving the ZR1X, it would be faster than the AMG.

And if the AMG had 520 more horsepower it would again be faster, correct? See what happens when you play make believe?

So? What a straw man argument.
The AMG GT Black Series has the power that it has, just like the ZR1/ZR1X.

If the same driver for both (Maro Engel, the one who set the record with the AMG GT) put down a lap, the ZR1X would be faster.

Straw man? You’re literally playing make believe with a driver that didn’t drive the car. When your driver finally posts the faster lap time (with 520 more horsepower) then you’ll be right. Until then, that’s why we have the leaderboard with real world times that actually happened.

Yeah, you can give it more power but it's still limited by it's mechanical grip and the GTD has more of that than the ZR1..which is the point I've been making.

I'm playing make believe that there's some common sense in this forum.

When you have the facts, pound the facts. When you don’t have the facts, pound the table.” <—- You are here.

Insulting fellow board members isn’t going to help. I see you don’t post often. If that’s all you’re able to come up with, maybe that’s for the best.
