However, the front or lower portion of the ramp would not fit under the car without hitting the rubber spoiler under the car. So I didn't try to force the car up the ramp. Do you have this issue? I'm considering purchasing some Race Ramps Extenders to further reduce the approach angle. I've never had an issue with my Race Ramps rubbing before.
Yes ZPirate, my ZL1 is the same way but just drive up slowly and when the front tires are on the ramps then you can drive up. The ramps are made of foam so shouldn’t cause any damage to the front of your ZL1.

My previously owned ZL1 had the same issue..I cut some ~ 3/8” thick by 10 “x 10 “ rubber squares and placed in front of the ramps. That gave just enough lift to clear the ramp angle.

Thanks guys for the information. I think I'm going to purchase a set of Race Ramp extenders. That should elevate the issue.

Oh, and you're not being fair, this post of his was from 2021 when he was still rocking the boat, pardon, a whale (aka Challenger). He may have changed his mind in 2.5 years.

The Race Ramps look fine... but compared to the pair I just purchased, I don't know why anyone would want to pay literally 3 times the price for 1/3 the weight capacity.

Several reasons. 10 degrees is fine for the 2LT, but too steep for anything lower. The race ramps I have break down into parts and only weigh 5 lbs each. So they are much easier to maneuver and store. As far as weight capacity goes, they handle my Tahoe just fine, which is the heaviest thing I’ll ever put on them.

I agree. When I purchased my Race Ramps I purchased the 2500 pound version rather than the 1500 pound version. That's 5000 pounds combined for the front or rear of the vehicle. I have no issues with my Durango on them either. And at 14 inches wide the are very easy to get even my wide wheeled Camaros on by myself. I also have the 2 piece versions which break down to four separate units that are easy to move and store.

I had a 10% off coupon so I ordered a set of extenders yesterday for the ZL1. They reduce the angle of the ramps to 6.6 degrees.

After reading some of the reviews on Amazon, I wouldn’t be comfortable with these ramps. Several have arrived cracked, pieces missing, etc. Are they fiberglass reinforced plastic? They seem to be, based on people saying to wear gloves or get glass fibers in your fingers. At least the price is good.

I didn't know you'd need a shallower angle than 10°... so that makes sense.

At 6.6°, it's probably very easy to drive the vehicle up that. What additional height do you get off the ground when the vehicle is parked on your ramps?

LOL... any product you buy will have defects and complainers. The Bob's ramps have 92% either 4 or 5 star reviews. The cracks are probably defects or from FedEx throwing them around. When mine were delivered, I heard a loud thud... but it was at my garage area with no cameras. The first thing I did was check them carefully... nothing even close to resembling damage. Gloves? Haha... I handled them for an hour with no sense of being injured or cut. Fibers? There are no fibers showing in the ramps. Also worth noting, many of the Race Ramps on Amazon have a higher percentage of 1-star reviews than the Bob's... does that mean they're bad? Of course not.

My 67 inch Race Ramps raise the vehicle 10 inches off the ground.

I found Bob's Industrial Supply ramps... they are great! At the time of my purchase, they were selling at Amazon for $160 plus tax. But right now they are a little cheaper... here is the Amazon link.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...E7U53NWQ&psc=1

But I got mine from Woot! for $102.99 + $6 shipping (free shipping if you're a Amazon Prime Member). These are beefy stands... around 18 lbs each, and support 5 tons each. Jump on the Woot! deal if you need a nice pair of stands, with no futzin'.

They stand up nice on their own as well... or you can hang them by a strong nail or screw in a stud. The ramps have hanging holes but you'd have to drill through the rubber feet if you wanted to hang them flat against the wall.

How are these to drive up on? My rhino ramps push and slide quite often trying to put the Camaro up on them. I'd rather not spend the money on race ramps.

Very easy. Race Ramps are constructed in such a way that the entire bottom of the ramps sits flat on the ground and has a textured surface that keeps the ramps from sliding.

I agree the RR price is freakin steep. I bought my 67” 2 piece ramps for ~ $225 maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Even then, that was a boatload of $ for ramps.

All I can say is if mine were lost or stolen, I’d pay todays price. They really are a pleasure to move around, store, wide enough for larger wheels w/ plenty of room to work under. That’s saying a lot coming from a guy that’s cheap (let’s say frugal).
