This helps most people.

In the settings, you should scroll down and then open Google. Then hit ads and then you can opt out.

PCs are usually the same.

The way I see it, either get rid of them and just ask people to turn adblockers off for the less agressive ads, or we will just turn adblockers on for everything.

The choice should be pretty apparent.

All that ad-blockers produce are pop-ups that say "We see you are using an ad-blocker...if you want to continue, etc...." lol

I click on the tab for ad choices, or whatever it is, and click the box that says "Ad was inappropriate"...That seems to tamp them down for a while....good luck.

Huh? Settings of what? No clue what you're referring to here.

On my phone or my tablet, I go to the settings icon. I tap it and then scroll down to Google. I tap Google and then scroll down to see the word ads. I then have a toggle switch to turn them off.

Ah. That's an operating system level control that doesn't translate to Windows / Mac. I believe it will tie in with settings for Chrome, though, and that may flow over. But, it only pertains to using a specific personalization ID for determining which ads to show you.

That will just kill the traffic.

I am fine with those notifications if the ads are non-aggressive, like banners. They have to pay the bills, but the full-page stuff is way overdoing it.

Yes I agree it needs to go. I thought I was the only one. It pisses me off every time. I dont even glance at whatever it is and would never spend one cent supporting such an intrusion. I have visited many of the normal add sites and they dont bother me one bit.
I will lose interest in the site if it keeps frustrating me.
Ditch the pop ups.

I'll bring it up again, went through something similar 15 years ago on an Aviation forum, advertising went way overboard... Started a member supported site ($10 per YEAR) and absolutely no advertising... Has been very successful for the past 15 years (next month is our 15th anniversary), members love it...

I offered to do the same for a Camaro forum but the initial response seemed luke warm... I've already registered 2 domain names (one for the 6th gen and one of the 5th gen Camaros) and would be willing to build it if there is enough interest, just not going to waste my time if no one is interested... For me, I'd much rather pay $10/YEAR to not deal with all the ads and other garbage, but need to make sure there is at least reasonable interest...

Speak up if interested...

The internet for me would not be useable without AdBlock. I'd pay $10/month to have a site without Ads for Harley and for the Camaro. That being said, I'd still use AdBlock for everything else. Honestly not sure how anyone browses the internet without it.

The detracting piece of all of that, for me, is that there are supposedly only a couple of years left for the car. Then what?
