Yep. What matters is that you feel/know it's the best car for you. There will always be someone who hates your car... which is really weird, but true.

While I may be trolling on this subject, it's still a hard truth. It's too hard for you to accept even. Go to the track just once and I'll unricer you. Hell you might even like it and understand what your car was built for.

Anyone who buys any purpose built track model (doesn't even have to be a Camaro) for the purpose to brag to people at C&C and does not track it, is a ricer.

I wish I was facing this dilemma. I ran out and got a 2016 before the 1LE, ZL1 or ZLE were available. I've tracked my car multiple times, twice this year alone, would have been three if my 4-13 AMP session hadn't been cancelled. As others have mentioned, the standard SS is a very capable track weapon.
If I was starting over, I definitely would have started with either a ZL1 or ZLE.

Then I declare by the definition of ricer given in this very thread that YOU are not a RICER!

That's not what a ricer is.

A ricer is someone who invests a ridiculous amount of money into the body, and appearance of a car to make it appear fast. When in fact, it is not. This was a characteristic of the import crowd (Japanese manufacturers), hence why they were referred to as ricer. A Ricer talks the talk, but can't walk the walk.

The body parts, tires and wheels, and the big wing are all very functional and contribute to the ultra performance of the ZL1 1LE. Just because a person doesn't take a track capable car to the track, doesn't mean they are a ricer.

What does that make you, when you troll forums of cars that you don’t even own and call them all ricers, when in fact you don’t even know what the term means?

I want to be a Porsche GT3 RS ricer!!!!!!!

Hell, give me a GT3 RS and I will even buy a shirt that says ricer on it. I watched a video on YouTube last night of a POV drive and hearing and seeing it rip to 9K is orgasmic!!!

I bought a 2016 SS 6M in 2016, as well. I was fortunate to be able to move up to the ZL1 in 2018. I actually tracked the SS more than I have the ZL1 (back surgery does affect your track time). IMHO, the SS is easier to drive closer to my limits that the ZL1. The SS limits, while very high, are closer to where my personal limits exist. The ZL1, while faster (my lap times are lower, too), is working at a higher limit and to approach those limits I am exceeding my own.

I just know and admit I am not named Randy Pobst.

I have tracked and traded keys (not on the track) with a friend who had a 2016 GT3 RS. They are d@mned cool. He upgraded to the GT2 RS (I've upgraded to the ZL1 - his was the better upgrade). Right seat was pretty exciting. We haven't traded keys, yet.
