I know that there are ZL1's in the Metro Detroit area because I see them at shows, there are several in our club (Motor City Camaro Club) as well as at Lingenfelters Cars and Coffee in Wixom (and of course during the Woodward Dream Cruise), but just not on the street driving casually.

Are you saying you may not be getting the car because of the virus?
Am I reading that right?

Lightbulb

COVID was not an option on Camaro in 2020.

I’m wondering if they aren’t letting him have the vehicle at the moment because of the Covid. Right now things are pretty crazy so you never know.
Like I’m sure he’ll get the car but if wondering if they are restricting him from getting the car at this time.

(When I'm in the mood for a road trip I always go south. I've seen several roads that dramatically improve right at the state line. When I see a sign warning of poor road conditions ahead, it's still better than a decent road in Michigan.

I do see some Challengers and a few Camaros but not the high performance models. I don't think these people care about hp and handling. My car doesn't draw attention and I don't get approached when stopped. I'm good with that though.)

Ohio and KY are the best places to roam. Leelenau Peninsula/TC has M37 and M22. I feel like the 'good roads' in Michigan list ends there. LOL. My favorite is the MI/OH state line on US 23-you don't get any more obvious than that. Especially around exit 5. Stay in the right lane and you'll get a head bleed. Left lane is smooth. I'm sure the lack of Camaros likely has more to do with marketing and price, less to do with road.

Agreed.
Camaro fest in Ypsilanti was a good turn out and proves there are Camaro owners out there but as you mentioned not many are casually out and about.
Mines not a DD and only out 7ish months a year.
I was more over near the Milford Proving grounds area of MI. It's possible there are more Z owners and such up near you.

This years Friday trip at Camarofest takes us up to the track at Waterford for some parade laps as well as optional hot laps(for a price).
