$41k is a bit steep though, should be in the $35-38k range

Personally after driving a 6th gen, I could never go back to a 5th gen. And the 1LE is the best car I have driven. The M6 is completely different with the short throw shifter...buttery smooth. And it just looks MEAN.

I agree. Having I owned both generations of Camaro, the difference in driving dynamics is night and day and cannot be overstated.

It sounds to me that you like the hyper blue Camaro with stripes. I personally wouldn't buy one with that many miles on it, you'd be better of buying new. If it doesn't come with stripes, they can easily be added. If you don't like the factory exhuast, buy a new one.
If you want leather, get a 2SS. If cloth is fine, get a 1SS. Don't overthink it. The 1LE is great, but it's a $6500 option that really isn't necessary if you're not going to track the car. A8 vs M6? The auto is faster in a straight line but the M6 is way more fun and engaging to drive, which is more important to you? If I were in your shoes, I'd buy (or order) a 2018 Hyper blue M6 with stripes, NPP and MRC, whether 1SS or 2SS is your choice, but 2SS does have more goodies.

I traded a 5th gen for my 2017 SS 6th gen and it's pretty awesome. Mine had 19,000 miles on it when I got it. I had the dealership run it through GM certification so it adds another year and 12K to the existing bumper-to-bumper warranty and it kicks the powertrain out to 6 yr 100,000 warranty. I figure I'm gonna run it pretty hard when I drive it and the warranty will likely span the length of time I'll own it so all should be good!!

Why buy a 2013 ZL1 for $41K, when you can get 2018 SS 1LE, that is faster on track than the gen5 ZL1, for the same price.
Five model years newer, faster, better in every way, warranty, same price. Sounds like cookoo talk to pay $41K for a gen 5. |

So I went to test drive the used M4, and made the mistake of looking at some new M2's. Dayum, they're sexy. It trumped the M4 quickly, but they weren't willing to budge from MSRP. I guess the M2 is really in demand.
Processed over the weekend and decided I already have a German turbocharged coupe in the garage so the M2 would be a little redundant, so I'm back to the Camaro as my best 'bang for the buck' option. I'm having a hard time justifying the 1LE option, but I REALLY like the rims on the 1LE. Has anyone found any aftermarket rims that look similar to the 1LE rims? I'm sure I'm not the first one to ask. |

At mid $30k I find the Gen 5 ZL1 to be a better value

The performance will be the same with the same transmission except the 1LE is a little faster on a race track. Can you even get an auto with the 1LE? If tracking is your main thing then get the 1LE.
