That was a personal favorite.

The Hellcat is the Hulk in Gucci pumps. That said, it’s fun. You run over everything in your way: curbs, trees, flag stations, anything that threatens to make it turn any more than it really has to. And yet the main challenge in the Charger (see what we did there?) is to keep it pointed straight, because it pretty much wants to go all 4.1 miles sideways, backward, or just spinning like a Chinese pinwheel firecracker.

Ok, well I may be missing something as to why they aren't there, but i'm pretty sure I know why.

Good job GM, two great cars (relatively affordable) making lots of folks very happy.

Per the MT website and BDC 2013; "Best Driver’s Car contender must be all-new or significantly updated, and it must be on sale now in the U.S. or arriving soon."

Is this your first MT BDC? Neither Mustang or Challenger have models that are all new and/or significantly refreshed for this years window of testing.

The SS 1LE was actually last. Hellcat finished ahead of that, the Mustang, and the M4 GTS.

Plus, it wasn't on the same day, same driver, same shoes...it doesn't count...

Thumbs up

I guess that if they had tried the regular Camaro ZL1 that comes with the magnetic shocks, the ZL1 probably could have scored higher, since their only complain was about the MSV shocks that were very rough while driving on a bumpy road. On the rest of the comments about the ZL1 1LE they sounded amazed.

Agreed. They should have thrown the ZL1 in there too.

But...The stiffness of the 5th Z28 didn't seem to stop it from winning BDC in 2014 I believe it was. Furthermore the Z28 was stripped out, loud road noise, uncomfortable and no where near as fast (Down on power + lots of downforce + drag from wide tires). But they did say that "There we just 4 more cars that were that much better" in front of it....

I get the feeling that MT team like the ss 1le more than the standard zl1s. I think that was from their review of the standard zl1.
