I'll do the same next year even if I can't get off work Friday it was so much fun. Tough time for me as it's usually overhaul / Top End season right now.

Anyway, don't beat yourself up too bad...you simply jumped on too late as the window of 17's was really small for everyone. A bunch of guys if you go back & look kept having their build dates pushed back due to capacity / supply chain issues (mostly of the A10 capacity output I think) Many, many folks were really frustrated and they started early.
Was great hanging out and getting to know you too at TCR. Seems like this will be an annual event now so that's good.

And yes those that jumped on late... even though they think it was early was simply a toss of the dice to get a 17. We all knew some sort of announcement was coming early in 16 but I'm sure a lot of folks weren't in the market or just not ready to drop down a deposit on one. I called my dealer the second the ZL1 was announced and made them start a list with my name at the top. So it was a FULL YEAR of waiting from that point until I received a car. Good for me it was a large volume Houston dealer so at least one allocation wasn't a problem.

But this was lesson learned from 2012 when I was third on the list for a ZL1 with Hennessey at the top and KLR ZL1 second. They both got their cars and mine got pushed back to a 2013 which I didn't want. Had to go looking and found #23 sitting in a showroom in Decatur TX after someone backed out of the deal. So fast forward to 2017 and I beat KLR ZL1 to the punch. He was a couple down the list so his car wasn't built in time for TCR. He missed the event but at least he did get his car this month.

I was also ready to jump on the 1LE list too, but really like Mag ride and the A10, however those wide tires/wheels are a huge draw for me. The other stuff I can do to my car anyway so look for some 1LE mods coming my way.

Brother, really appreciate all the feedback...I'm sure I drove you nuts with all my questions!! I wouldn't have gone if you hadn't pinched me to do so. It worked out well getting to see family & see what TCR was all about!!

I hope when all the dust settles, there is some way we can check vin to see what # I actually own...I find the whole production #'s made & order history very fascinating. Maybe at some point we can figure that out.

~~~~~~~
Oh, by the way...I'm down another couple pounds about to hit 190. If I can get to 175 & start adding some muscle, it will make this middle aged dude very happy!! Thanks for the nudge to keep at it!!
Saludos,
Paul
