I know you guys are busy but, kinda a bummer we have to hack off that breather tube off the OEM intake. A lot of us have to swap intakes to get the car serviced. Anyway you can include a tube so we don't have to hack the OEM tube?

I was just wondering if any of the tests with the RotoFab was done with the hood closed. I'm wondering how much of the results are from having the hood open.

You would hope that all test would be with the hood closed. Hood open would not accurately represent gains.
Makes me curious why so many dyno runs are done with hood open? Keeping the motor cool?

......I guess a lot of guys drive with the hood open after they install the gimmicky CAI's.

You might as well dyno the car (hood closed) without a filter installed; achieve the same results. Go figure!

I'm pretty sure Roto Fab's testing is with the hood closed. Thought they addressed this in an earlier response to the same question.

In another post the rotofab guy said that HP takes a hit if the hood is open.

I do not understand why this .50 cent piece of plastic is not included. It makes it difficult to swap back the OEM intake if needed!

After some digging through old posts I see that you are correct.

The hood was closed, which is an important factor, as our 6th gen systems have proven to perform substantially better with the hood closed.
