Just about. I’m in Schaumburg. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it out during the week. Starting at 4:30-5:30 every day makes staying out too late difficult.

I’m in the area but completely booked with full time work and school. I will be more free in the summer months. If anyone is interested in a weekend cruise or meet up for a cheep drag strip day, I would be up for that.

Cabin fever hit me too. Took it to get washed, then back into the garage. Should go for its tune next week. Then it’s racing season shortly.

Thanks! I got it in October and I haven't seen any other 1LE's yet. I haven't really driven it over the winter, since the track tires turn to plastic under 50 degrees.

Need some good weather soon!

Do we really have the same cars???!!!

My red golf was actually a TDI but I sold it back and got a white GTI. We were SOOOO close to having matching vehicles. Still, we have the same models. What are the odds...?

Has to be a different car then. This was definitely in the middle of summer. I store mine for winter as well. We still need lots of rain for the salt to washed away.

Yup. That would have been crazy if you had red.

What year GTI did you get? I’ve had a few GTIs/GLIs over the years and a Camaro, Trans Am, or G8 for the summer. Also had a golf sports wagon for a spell but the left over 17 GTI was a steal when the MK7.5 came out.
