What is pipe size everyone is using? 2SSmurf and I contacted a local shop, and they carry 2.5" or 3" pipes. They can order 2.75" (which I read somewhere here in this forum that the size of our pipe is 2.75") but it has to be 10' pipe purchase.
Let me know what you guys used. Thanks.

Lol your worried about a straight thru 1/4 inch change over half a foot, maybe?? Its still a trillion miles better than the restriction the secondaries put on the system. Just do it and don't think about it. Its worth it.

I was just told that the aftermarket pipes only come in two and a half or 3 inches so they can't match the 2.75. I have NO ISSUES and It sounds crazy

I'm in the same boat as you. I went to two different shops and they refuse to do it. I've tried the resonator approach but no luck so far.

There is no way its not any CUSTOM EXHAUST shops in Chicago. Where are you looking. It can't be a major franchise shop, everyone has that "area" you can go to that doesnt give a shit long as you have the money. But do good work. I had the same problem but found a great one that does ANY AND EVERYTHING. Ask around.

Keep looking. I live in California which has the most strict emissions laws in the country. The first 3 that I asked turned me down outright. I kept going from muffler shop to muffler shop until I found 3 others that said they would do it. First shop charged me $100 the first time I removed them. I had to have them welded back in because I helped SEMA Emissions Lab here in Diamond Bar test a performance part for CARB EO approval. After they were done testing, I had the secondaries removed again, different shop, only $80 the second time.
