Summit White 1SS with low gloss black wheels here in Oakland. Commute to downtown SF daily. No plates yet.
Only seen a few Camaro 6th gens around but most are RS's. |

That might be me you see, I drive from Modesto to Lathrop for work. Ive had my black SS since 7/1, I forgot to check in. I have been a little preoccupied with work. What little time I do have with the monster gives me this grin that doesnt seem to go away. Anyone else have it?

I drive around in Modesto too from time to time... I have a few friends out there.
Mine is easy to spot though, I still have the Tracy Chevrolet paper plates. |

Depends on your area, San Francisco and the bay area as a whole is just expensive... But out here to the 209 it's a lot cheaper.
A sports car is a niche market to begin with, I had a 370z before my Camaro which starts off in the mid $20K range and because the car was pretty useless for every day use they did not sell that many, Even with the current design being manufactured since 2009 you will maybe see 1 a day. Let's face it, For a daily driver these are pretty crappy... Blind spots, Not the best fuel economy, teeny tiny trunk opening, the car is pretty low, the back seat is more for appearance than functionality and to buy something like these, You have to be somewhat in to cars while most people want great gas mileage, the best reliability rating, safety, comfort and space. It's not really the cost as in another year or 2 we will be seeing these just as much as we see the 5th gens. But, They will most commonly be I4 or V6 models... The 6th gen is still really new, It just came out last year and no sports car will outsell the "smarter" choice (Honda Accord, Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry etc...) I pay $450 a month for mine, I put $15K (cash) down... But I think it's a 6 year loan... It's my first brand new car and I want to keep it forever. Sure something newer and greater will come out in a few years but I want to be one of those old people who have an immaculate classic car in their garage that they had since new to pass down through generations. While I am 100% sure the 6th gen wont hold together as well as the 1st or 2nd did because of the extensive use of plastics and all of the technology packed in it I still think it will be kinda neat as by the time in 80 in 50 years our cars will be driving themselves and fully autonomous. |

Have any of you tinted your windows yet? If so who did you go to, what brand and % did you use?
By reviews Eclipse tinting in Modesto is good, but I would like your input. Thanks in advance. |

I got impatient because my usually tint place was 3 weeks booked in advance and this place did the clear bra the same time they did my tint, So I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Window Tint in Livermore, They are definitely top notch and the tinter Matt would not let any of the issues I have with mine slide. I did 35% on the back and sides with 70% on the windshield using 3M (3M Crystalline on the windshield).z
