The only problem I've ever had with an officer is when one sped by me with no warning and then abruptly cut me off and hit his breaks hard to make a turn into a neighborhood... Really?

Also, if police speed with no lights I'll usually just keep up behind them. It's got to be safe if they're doing it right?

But really. I agree with your statement. I'm pretty sure you easily notice the guy slamming on his breaks when you hit him with radar gun.

12 out of 50 states is definitely not most places. But definitely more than the 2 states that ban radar detectors. Course it would not surprise me if they ban laser jammers Federally at some point.

Uh... Radar detectors are legal in Texas. Might want to check your sources. I'm pretty sure that's lazer jammers as what you're trying to say are illegal.

Nine states have state laws specifically banning laser jammers: California, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, Illinois, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Virginia. Radar detectors are legal in the aforementioned states (Excluding Virginia).

My list is laser jamming law states, not radar detectors. Only two states(district) ban radar detectors, VA and DC last I checked.
