The only dark outline is the shadow in the spaces between the lights and the car panels. They are not like the Z06.

There are some pictures floating around that I've seen that look like the Z06 style but they are aftermarket or concept.

Hey all,

Did a super quick, lazy search. Didn't see anything.

I'm about to special order my car, and I want those black tail lights. However, I don't want to add them to my order if they will cause the car to be held up for weeks and weeks.

What's the story on the black tail lights for 2017? Are they all good to go at the factory?

Ok, thank you. I appreciate the info.

In that case, I will not add them to the order, and have my car built faster. I'll just have to get them afterwards when they are available. Wish they didn't add them to the 2017 order guide if they weren't even ready yet.

Hope i am off, but don't think they will make it to the line up, at SEMA was told you can order them that way NOW, that was not right.

Well. That would be a bummer. If that's the case, I'm sure someone else would make an after-market copy of them. Maybe even with LED's already built in.

But I'm thinking they are going the way of the High Wing Spoiler from the early 5th gens. It took FOR-EV-VER for that to make it to production, but they eventually got it all figured out. There was a while there where people who wanted that were giving up on them.

At SEMA they advertised them as available early 2016 and it still is.

I have been searching for these every day because I was going to get them as well. They also show up on a lot of GM parts websites. Do a search for that part number they are popping up everywhere with price. I haven't attempted to purchase because I have yet to get my 2ss.

This is what I was going for before I bought nightfall gray. Most of these part numbers are findable on gmpartsdirect, some are still not out!
