I do, some. Not as good as this forum. I actually got flamed for asking if someone had the max speed to gear chart for the TR6060 and the 3.90 rear. I have not been back there. But I do got the another one but only to peek and see if anything is happening. I come here for the conversation and the people.

Edit: this reminds me a lot of the 2004+ GTO forum. Lots of good people, info and conversations. The RAM forum is pretty good also.

Nope still wouldn't want it. It's cool for the people that grew up with them but I never got into the old school muscle. I started with Japanese imports and plan on going back to them by buying a new Supra or the 400Z.

If GM was serious (about the Camaro), they would offer many more cool build options much like how Dodge does.. cooler package names that sound awesome, more flexibility (like how Dodge has the 1320 drag option, etc). You can go to the Dodge site, add hood pins, drag pack, pick from wild ass package names (the ULTIMATE DRAGON SLAYER PACK, terminator 9000 edition!, etc) lol Camaro it's the... LT1, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, SS, 2SS, ZL1, etc.. tell an average person who asks what the car is and you are like.. Ooo, this is a ZL1! They are like.. uhh? If you in a Dodge and someone asks.. Ooo.. this is the HELLFIRE MURDER EDITION! and they are like OMG WOW that sounds AMAZING! Haha.

And most idiots still wouldn't know the difference. The only downside is we'd get more idiots buying the LT1 engine and end up pulling a Mustang, wrecking cars and killing people!

I've had the same experience, minus the flaming... The other forum isn't nearly as good, or active, as this forum.

Camaro has been my favorite Muscle Car forever, but I acknowledge the future is changing and things will pass, who knows, maybe there will be an EV Camaro in the future. I'm old school and while I embrace future tech and can still learn pretty quickly, I just can't go without that V8 sound for now and will be getting a Camaro while they still exist!

We are in the waning days of the second muscle car era. The offerings are few but the performance is amazing. My daily driver is a 20 1LE M6. Before that is was a 18 2SS M6 ...16 2SS A8 ...13 ZL1 M6 ...04 GTO M6...

I intend to delay being forced into BEV as long as possible.

For example, look at the performance stats on a "run of the mill" 2018 Honda Accord:
Those are basically LS1 F-body performance #s in a practical family sedan (or close enough)! At some point, performance levels reach a point of diminishing returns for street use so people aren't going to pay more for something they don't see the value in - especially if the added performance capability requires buying a 2nd car due to it being impractical.
I was still driving my LS1 GTO when Accords and Camrys started getting harder to pull away from in traffic. I upgraded to a LSA.

I retire in ~10 years and intend to get a classic muscle car again to use as my daily driver in Florida. A 70 Chevelle SS, 454, 4-speed is high on my candidate list. A 61 Impala SS bubble top would do the trick too.

I'll be old and slow but with attitude.

It will give me something to fiddle around with too. Baffle my neighbors with my timing light and dwell meter.

I am with you. I’m 45, and I think these badass, combustion engine car choices that we have now, are on their way out in the next 10-15 years. I’ve owned an 88 IROC-Z with the 5.7L, a 95 Z28, a 98 Z28, a 2006 GTO, a 2010 Camaro SS M6, a 2017 1SS A8 and I just purchased a 2018 2SS Hotwheels Edition M6 with nearly every option available. I plan on keeping the 2018 HW M6 until I’m buried in it. I have no interest in an electric performance car, but the writing is on the wall that, that is where the segment is heading. I’ll keep my pushrod engine dinosaur of a performance car as long as I can drive!

My 18 was a Hot Wheels M6 too. One of 246 made. The only option was NPP exhaust. Beautiful car and I put 21,000 miles on it with zero issues.

Enjoy them while we can ..and while they are relevant.

That’s awesome! I found a 2SS HW M6 with just over 1300 miles on it! It is loaded: NPP, Mag Ride, Moonroof, etc… It’s on its way to me in closed transport. Can’t wait to enjoy this car for years to come. Hope you do the same with your current 6th gen! I’m hanging onto it as long as humanly possible. ☝🏼
