Have used Xpel (2014 - 911 Cabriolet) and Suntek Ultra (2017 - ZL1 vert). I know the companies continue to improve their product but my eyes tell me the Ultra is a clearer film. Experience also tells me the installer is key to how pleased you will be. I visited three installers who all use Suntek, Xpel and 3M product. Each expressed that this latest Ultra product is a cut above the rest. The lighting, shop cleanliness, installer meticulousness and skill/experience are key to a high quality job. The ZL1 with its cuts and angles is not a job for a rookie.

They did not change their adhesive on the new suntek film. Some had problems of peeling. According to my research. My installer brought it up as well before I even said anything. He installs all films and vinyls. Xpel is superior. Definitely harder to work with though.

Dropped my Zl1 off for the clear bra today. Going with Suntec. Doing front, full hood, mirrors, lights, and rockers. Also, having Crystal Serum put over it. Then I go back next week for the tint. It is costing $2200 plus $275 for the tint plus tax. To do the whole car in Crystal would have been an extra $1200. Not sure it is worth it for an occasional driver.

Forgot to mention he said the Suntec Ultra been an issue coming from the factory with blemishes. At least the larger roll sizes.

Wow, $600 for the fenders is a little pricey. I had Suntek film applied to the full front which included the front bumper, splitter, all of the hood, CF insert and front fenders, the rockers, side mirrors, quarter panel past the doors, and the high impact areas behind the rear wheels for $2400.

I can't find an installer around me that can do that much for $2400. Just the full hood, full front bumper, full fenders and mirrors is $2400. The rockers adds about $550 more.

i will them everyone is telling me i am paying to much. Most seem to be $2k to $2,400 for what i want done not including the ceramic coating. I will see if they will do $2400. Only other installer near me is over an hour away.

I saw the light when my first ride home from the dealer landed me a light rock chip in the rear quarter. I took it to Detailer Domain by me in Norwood, NJ and they took care of it. I like that now I can drive the car around without feeling like it is going to destroy the paint.

Ditto, had mine done in Houston for the same price. I think Suntek comes in a kit for the ZL1.
