In reference to the above...
People for the past 10 years: REEEEEE NASCAR cars don't even look like the actual cars anymore I hate it People today: REEEEEE the new cars don't look like true NASCAR cars anymore I hate it

You can say that, but for most that I know... too little too late.

If those same people compared the cost of an actual car to a NASCAR, they may not complain as much.

It sounds too exotic to me. It'll be stupid fast but just like with IMSA (C7 vs C8), it doesn't sound like throaty muscle anymore.

I think they are on the right track (pun intended) with the new Z06 engine choice. The base V8 is fine for the established vette customers, but given the mid engine layout it is IMO holding back the C8 from stealing customers from other more expensive brands. No more naturally aspirated V8 from Ferrari, so a Z06 might be a consideration. Then the twin turbo and hybrid will take on their markets, probably with very competitive pricing. I see the all new Ford F-150 Full Electric "Lightning" will be unveiled next Wednesday on the 19th. Due to launch as a 2023 model.
I'm real curious to see what they have to offer. Kind of a gut punch in my opinion that Ford may beat GM's Silverado EV launch date. With all the Ultium platform talk from GM and all the "EV speak" we've heard from them, it's surprising to see that Ford beat GM to the market with a "normal" sized CUV that doesn't look like an EV, and now possibly will beat them with the full size truck EV. I know that GM has been pushing up the date for the Silverado EV. I can see why now.

Silverado EV is projected to launch September 2022 so it should be right around the same time as the Lightning.

In the race towards mediocrity and disappointment history has shown GM will not settle for second place. Remember this hunk of technological dog do-do the Evil Empire attempted to cram down our throats many years ago? Oh, the humanity!!!
