It's not just a Bullitt with Tremec + coolers. It has chassis and aero components from the GT350 and GT500 that the PP1/Bullitt do not have. It's way more than a Bullitt, and different from a PP2 aside from the trans and coolers.

I won't speculate on the msrp, except that they'll sell 'em.

the more i stare at the white one, the more i like it. if they’d just put a tr6060 in it instead, you’d have a perfect pick your boost and go mobile.

The 03 Mach1 was just a 2001 Cobra with a solid axle, a Shaker hood, and a different badge. Nothing more. It had more HP and a better setup than the Bullit/

This Mach1 is even less than that. They took a GT350, threw in the cheaper and lesser Bullitt engine, and gave it the aut option.

It is a worthless car that fits in nowhere and remarkably still manages to offer the low level of performance that everything between a GT500 and GT offers. The GT350 R and non-R will beat it around a track just like they beat the worthless Bullitt and even more worthless PP2. The base GT will beat it in a straight line just like it beats the GT350s, Bullitts, and PP2s. So it will be yet another of Ford's arsenal that can't get a clean sweep in each category. Because whatever it beats the other Mustangs at, it will lose at something else to the others. And trust me, it will be very close in price to a bare bones ZL1 and more than a Base C8 1LT.

I agree with some of what you said. Like i said in my initial reaction when it was unveiled its a nice package but nothing oh my god. Nice product to fill the lineup out late in the generation using parts from other models.

but A few things I don't get.

1. It's not a GT350 replacement so being slower around a track than the 350 shouldn't be a dig at it.
2. You can get the A10 in the Mach 1. That + the power bump should make the Mach 1 the fastest Mustang in a straightline besides GT500. If the A10 Mach cant beat a A10 GT I will be right there with you shaking my head

If its over 60K it will be a total fail. That would put it right at GT350 pricing

WOW, with all the new models and upgrades we keep seeing out of Ford and especially Dodge, I am surprised people even know the Camaro still exists.

It's like there are only two in the segment, and not three. 2 1/2 may be more accurate.

I realize that a Redeye w/ 797 hp is a lot of hp. And a GT500 w/760 hp is a lot of hp. But there's something about that official 807 hp rating that's just, I don't know, a milestone. I think it's because this isn't a limited production run, they'll build however many are ordered. Unlike the Demon.

I do question why they put 315s on the front if it is a drag car. Why not go with a staggered setup w/ 245/50s or something narrow up front for a smaller footprint like pseudo skinnies, and thus, less rolling resistance?

807 factory hp w/ a warranty, not in a limited production run.
