How much do those really help handling?
Splitter and wing will make a difference for sure - AKA GT350 vs a GT PP2.

This is true, but going off of the gt350 staying MT only through out its entire life cycle and the gt500 ditching the a10 for the dual cluctch during development, seems like Ford is not too keen on putting the a10 in one of its true track cars. I'm sure the a10 mach 1 will be plenty capable but maybe Ford assumes the real harcore track rats will be going with an m6. Which I respect.

Or I could be wrong and the a10 will have the handling pack by 2022 lol.

Speaking of Aero, rumor has it the new C8 Z06 will have active aero. That can make a huge difference. Low drag in the straights, and full downforce in the turns...

So it's just GT350 performance with a "Mach1" emblem. Or a slightly better handling Bullitt. Or a GTPP2 with coolers. And the price tag will still be more than a base ZL1. But the ZL1 will destroy it just like it did everything else. Basically Frod is still just Frankensteining stuff from a parts bin and throwing badges at it and charging money for it and it performs the exact same. Low 12s in the quarter, loses to the SLE around a track, $65K MSRP.

Meanwhile the Base C8, ZL1, ZLE, and SLE will beat it at everything and cost less. Same ole. It is 2017 all over again and the 6th Gen Camaro has the mop and bucket ready to go.

Agreed, and for higher trim/performance Corvettes - it is time

Was actually hoping they would have incorporated active aero on the C7 ZR1. Oh well.

I'm still happy for my 5.0 boys that will finally have a proper m6 manmission option.... it'll just come at a big premium.... it'd be nice if all GTs started coming with the tr3160, though base price would go up.

The bold is pretty much what it is. A bullitt + PP2 + coolers but they did ditch the MT82 and added the A10

If the Mach 1 starts any where near ZL1 pricing that would be an epic fail. I think the majority of people are guessing this is going to start in the 50-53 range.

Interestingly though I would say the majority of the mustang sites I am on the overall reception has been meh.

That's pretty much where a standard GT PP with A10 stickers...

not quite close but, standard GT PP with A10 MSRP 43865 PP2 (no auto) 45,575

GT premium PP w/A10 47,865 PP2( no auto) 49,775

Bullitt MSRP for 48,900

So I think 50-53 is fair starting point for the Mach considering its a mash up off all of those

2020 GT Premium PP1 with 401A, Magnaride and A10: $52,665....

Mach 1 will likely be at least another $5-6k

We shall see.

Bullitt with mag ride is 50,595 - that is essentially what the Mach 1 is now with the tremec + coolers. I don't see those adding 5-6k to the starting price possible I guess

Everything I have seen this car is replacing the bullitt and PP2 so I would expect low to mid 50s for a starting price. If it gets up near 58 for a starting price total fail

Maybe I am just being optimistic or dumb lol

I thought it would come have come on the GT500. That could have been the big splash feature they could brag about, and with it, it may be able to compete or beat the ZLE. Especially given the pricing on the GT500. Heck, for $18,500 that the CFTP costs, active aero would justify the price.
