If it helps to get a response (I know I could call them, but where is the fun in that?), I already bought one and its set in the garage for install tomorrow a.m. Now you got some skin in the game.. anything about this idea you like? Thanks in advance! (I am keeping you at the "top of the charts"!) |

"Slow down! Look out for the edge!!"
Quoting a comedian (whose name I can't remember) riffing about what Chris Columbus' crew would have been saying while looking for the New World. I chose to utilize them as words to live by. Unfortunately, I still drop the ball on that on occasion. So I need to apologize to Soler for my provocative post yesterday. I'm installing their adaptor as I write and will report results with pics. Sorry guys. |

OK done (sort've- I still gotta reassemble the cai and hook up the batt.)
But the adaptor went on as advertised and lined up well according to my very accurate "finger" gauge... The pics may look differently due to lighting (and now I see really lousy photography), but it went on without incident. The only real surprise for me was now the TB is listing to the left, but I hope that doesn't cause a problem. Did other Soler TB + adaptor users notice this as well? Thanks. |

Last post on this I promise!
First- I have to express major relief that when I fired her up for the first 3minute idle, it idled fine and zero engine codes. You see I chose this opportunity to finally follow the MSD makers recommendation to check the torque on the 25 (!) bolts that maintain the seal of their composite IM... and that it be done in sequences of 3 escalating torques in specific order. I don't know why I put this off so long! And I should mention at least 3 of these are absolutely a "blind find" back by the firewall. Don't drop your only 1/4" drive 5mm hex bit while fumbling behind the engine by touch with an extension on the wrench that does not lock in place. So I turned an easy, quick install into a 6hr exercise in fear and frustration. And just because I was say... 11,000 miles late in following the manufacturers recommendations I was still shocked at how well the car was running cuz ALL those bolts were loose. I was sure I had "screwed the pooch". But "baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Chevrolet"!! This car fired right up without a hiccup and I'm confident it will continue to run like a scalded dog! Happy motoring y'all ! |

Quick question. My cousin has an SE8223-080 for his zl1 that he wants to get rid of. I assume since the lt1 version has a different part number (SE8223-040), that this one will not work on an lt1?

I went with a Nick Williams 103 after heads cam install, so, I have one of these Solers like new in the box if anyone wants to save a couple dollars. It was on a 22 ss.
