Yep I use it for data logging. I always data log every run at the track so I can go back and see if there are areas for improvement. I'm happy to post the data log if you would like to review to confirm the car is stock. I actually love that some of you guys think it's not. Nice work on the 10.98 however the 60' isn't near as good as I would have expected with a drag radial. Isn't that about on par with the factory tires? |

Can't wait to see the outcome of your twin turbo build. Keep up the good work with your 2 ZL1s! Sorry to hear about the bent rod on your 5th gen. It sucks, but man, what some numbers that stock bottom end put up before that happened!! BTW, that car has my favorite wrap ever!

I think if anyone who was putting tires on their ZL1 was hitting 10's this wouldn't be a big deal at all. The fact that even most with more bolt-ons than tires are still not able to break 10's makes this a little more significant and proves there was some good driving and stars aligning for the run. For that, well done! ![]() On a personal note, a little less (ok a lot less) talking and a lot more whatever the topic of the video is (or racing as you said previously) and I'd be a big fan. That's my two-cents - which probably is less than you get for your videos anyway lol. ![]() EDIT: By chance were you once tuned and then ran this "de-tuned"?

I'm going to extend an invitation to a couple of non Mopar cars to attend ChallengerFest 9 next April 13-15, 2018 at Beech Bend Raceway. I'm the event organizer/owner. I can reserve one for you since you have such a big mouth. Plenty of Hellcats for you to try your luck against and plenty that will be happy to take your money as well. You won't be eligible for race classes but it's two full days at the drag strip and hours and hours of TNT and grudge racing. What do you say? We'll be sure to take plenty of video to post up over here so folks can see how awesome you are when you whip all the Hellcats at the event. Here's one example ![]() Last edited by Speedy1975; 11-27-2017 at 10:11 AM. |

I believe the other poster was talking about stock hellcats and you post one that is modded and running a drag pack.
I tried to see what kind of power that car is making and the builder(OST) wont post the numbers...people have asked on their facebook page and they say "it makes enough to run x.xx time", but wont post the actual numbers. I would guess its up over 800whp. Its also running C16. So compare a comparably built ZL1 to this Hellcat and then we can talk. I dont think anybody is saying a modded hellcat cant run, its obvious they can, but this is a thread about taking a bone stock, down to the tires, ZL1 and trying to get it into the 10's... |

Based on this thread, a pretty built ZL1 runs 10.30s. Scroll up a few posts. I WOULD expect that to get better as the platform is figured out though. Quote:
I'm not attacking the ZL1....I've offered to help Dave with his at Beech Bend. There are some tricks you can use that make a stock car go (usually). You gotta data log the car to see what's going on. I would expect Dave and I to hit Beech Bend in the spring and I bet we can get him his 10. Dodge just went bananas with the Hellcat and a select few here seem to be a bit butthurt over it. I had mine dyno'd over the weekend and it was quite a bit more than I was expecting. |

Didn't a ZL1 just post a 10 second slip with DOT tires on stock rims in the Drag Racing forum? Don't think he listed brand and type of tire though.

Even so, a 1.68 60' on that tire isn't stellar which definitely tells us other things are at play like TM. The MPH is definitely there for a 10.80 I'd say. On a DR with the weight of the ZL1 I'd expect a high 1.5x 60' EASY if all things are working together properly. |

The PDR is nearly useless for accurate times IMO. You'll need a V-Box for accurate recordings of things like 0-60, 0-100, top speed, ETs etc. Unless you're at the strip that is.
