For example the GT350 puts up great track times but will be less fun on the street from less torque and a need to rev the snot out of it.
I would say the track times are a combination of all of the other tests you mentioned combined into one single metric. If acceleration is your thing, then those numbers are more important. Skidpad and slalom don't factor in acceleration really. Track tests are the intersection of acceleration, handling and braking all in one helpful number.

Man im like 17 pages deep. And this thread alone about 70% are complaining that there's no kureg, no custom marble/granite stone dash with recycled glass fragments, no Japanese oak flooring with warming porous gloss. Obviously this isn't the car for you. And frankly I hope there is a loud ass drone in the cabin so the people who pulled the trigger because they were on the fence about this car trade it in immediately and take a hit. Thanks to the complainers and bye Felicias.

Very true. The car isn't for them, and that is why we'd like a 2SS version.

I think it has more to do with Chevrolet, more specifically those in charge of the Camaro program, not wanting to dilute every single package (remember the Malibu Maxx SS)which tends to move away from the original intended purpose. Al Oppenheiser and Mark Steilow, these guys know Camaro history, and it is up to them to keep the torch burning for the right reasons

What color are the hood vents? I can't tell if they're wrapped or painted a matte color.

I would have to agree.... I think all this competition is only benefitting cross shopping enthusiasts AND the die hards of each camp.

I'm on the fence about a 1LE or a ZL1... I dont really care of all the options of a 2SS but this will be my daily driver in Canada, where a winter storm can cause it to dip to -20*C ( 6-8*F ?) .... so the heated seats and steering wheel are VERY useful, not just considered small little comforts...

Not wrapped, painted like the mirrors and spoiler. I think the hood is wrapped incase someone wants to remove it. Only issue I have with that is the color/tone of the paint and wrap is slightly different. I think I am going to repaint, or swap my hood vents out to the regular gloss black ones like the SS has that match the grille trim. I think it will give a nice contrast.

I wonder if you'll be able to get the body color hood vents on it. I think that would really help offset the black hood a bit. Right now it just looks a bit too much with the black hood and black vents. Contrast might help it out some.

You can always paint them or buy a set from GM if you want. I'm not sure if you'll be able to configure the car with them or not though. My guess is no.
