That one was all cosmetic and it looks like a ZL1 1LE front end conversion was completed instead of replacing original ZL1 bumper. Makes no difference if the parts coming off are wrecked or intact. It's all physiological.
Doesn't appear you can afford a $80k ZL1 if you're cross shopping a LT1 and SS1LE anyway. |

If you're looking for ZL1s I wouldn't get an LT1. Its not just the performance, the entire vehicle is different inside and out.
I also would not slap a supercharger on it. The ZL1 will retain the value you purchased it at. The LT1, especially with the supercharger, will not. You won't retain the money you spent supercharging it and it will be a tougher sell if you ever want to get rid of it. Adding the supercharger also will not make it as good as a ZL1. There's more to the car than just the supercharger, you will need upgraded wheels, tires, brakes to start. You also don't have the e-diff or PTM modes. If you can't stomach ZL1 prices, buy a 2SS it will give you the same tech. If you go SS1LE you will have everything a ZL1 has except for the supercharger. |

![]() This car will be a stop gap until GM decides to put a proper manual transmission into the C8 Corvette Z06 with that screaming, flat plane crank V8 that sounds like a Ferrari. Tremec recently announced that they have built a 6-speed manual transmission that bolts right up to the C8 Corvette V8 engine, so it's just a matter of time. So many of us are waiting for the manual C8 Corvette. |

And since I won't be tracking it, I'm not sure I need to get the SS with the 1LE track performance package, might be a waste for me, although I do like the forged wheel design. I did test drive a Mustang GT and didn't care for the manual transmission at all, however the Mustang Mach 1 did have the better Tremec manual transmission. |

In any case, you should look for a LT1 with the manual and recaros. That's really all you need for a street driven Camaro. I had a 1LE and all the track stuff wasn't really worth it. This was back in 2020 however when you could pick up a low-mileage, two year old 1LE in the mid-$30s. |

If money truly is no problem get a ZL1. It is a FAR more exciting car than an LT1/SS/SS 1LE.
If you’re sticking to LT1 power then I’d just get a 2SS. The bumper looks better and having all the tech features are nice. I know you said you don’t care about that but I’m sure you’ll appreciate the heated seats and steering wheel in Canada. Plus the gauge cluster in the LT1 looks like something out of a Chevy Trax. That would bother the crap out of me since that’s the thing you look at the most.
