The thing that sold me on it is the one owners comment after purchasing and installing was if you don’t turn it off before you turn the car off the exhaust will stay open which is exactly what I want it to do. I want to interrupt the circuit. So I’m hoping it’s not a default reset, which is why I will comment after installation

$17 kill switch.

Driving a manual is harder than installing this.
I have it, works great.
Specifically got it for hotels and trips to track days/rallies.

Bit ironic that a wireless keyfob is the anti-theft solution to wireless keyfob spoofing...

That was my thought, if they are already scanning for signals wouldn't they pick this up too?

Disconnecting the battery for extended periods will cause fault codes such as parking sensors that only dealer software can clear with their ridiculous $225 "diagnostic" charge.

How about buying a midrange scan tool that could be useful in many ways afterwards, too?

I have the Xtool D8 and it has a ton of features. With this tool I've been able to clear all spurious communication and low voltage codes so far every time I had to disconnect the battery (say, when installing a new steering wheel).
