Mine was built 7/23 don’t have a build sheet to narrow it closer I took delivery 2nd week of Aug, ( considering how long some wait that’s actually incredible ) Dealer is in Pittsburgh area so maybe being a hop skip & jump from the factory helps IDK though.
I am hard pressed to find one flaw or squeak so far and I looked and listened I’m thrilled so far. Hope the OP gets it all straightened out.

Camaro Panther Paint
Taking new CE Camaro 2SS convertible back to dealer due to paint clear coat issue on trunk lid. So much for Chevrolet quality control.

I agree, those issues aren't right, but they're minor overall.
LOL at the union comments and other belly-aching, conservative nonsense. Clearly most of you haven't been buying GM cars for a while. GM has had quality issues forever, whether it be workmanship or just crappy materials. Chevrolet is a value brand, and the problem with paying a lot of money for a car that starts around $20k is you get $20k worth of build quality no matter how big of an engine or how many features you add on. That's all to say, this started waaaay before any labor union strike. My '23 SS quality is acceptable but not great. There are a few paint imperfections on the roof (these are painted by automation/robots, btw, non-union). The imperfections are very hard to see, but they're there. In all honesty, I'd rather preserve the factory finish than have the dealer body shop try to re-spray it. Not worth my time or satisfaction to make a stink about it. The carpet is extremely cheap, the interior is full of hard plastic. Oh well. That's not why I bought the car. Even Hondas are cheap plastic crap these days. |

The build quality on my 23' SS1LE is about the same as every other new GM vehicle I've purchased over the last 20 years (1 S10, 2 Silverados, 1 Yukon). Not perfect, but overall it's fine for the price and what it is. There were a couple of minor issues that the dealer took care of, but every new car I've owned has had some of that. No big deal.
Definitely better build quality than my 2014 Dodge Charger RT had. That car was very trouble free, but fit and finish and paint quality was lousy.

I have had my 2024 2SS for several months (built 10/3 purchased 10/25). I have previously owned a 2018 and a 2021. Quality definitely is not there. Hood does not shut easily, Filler panel between the bumper and the radiator support bolts were not only about half seated (several turns of a ratchet fixed that). Finally, the seat cushion on the driver's seat is horribly uncomfortable. That was not the case on my 2018 or my 2021. The hood will be addressed when I go in to the dealer for the next oil change, I will have to see about the cushion issue.
