Installed ZL1 Addons rock guards this evening.

Today I had tint & fender hash marks installed! Tint is 35% on the side windows, and 50% on the rear window. Hash marks are Gloss Black with a Gunmetal Metallic Gloss pinstripe. The car is getting close to where I want it to be for this spring!

Today I put 2 coats of AvalonKing Armor Shield IX ceramic coating on the car. Prepped with pre-wash, iron decontamination, clay mitt, polish, and IPA wipedown. Turned out very well, we'll see how it holds up.

Amazon had their K&N Performance Air Intake System on sale for 45% off the other day, so I snagged it. I'm not planning on going with a CAI setup, but I wanted the filter and to replace the air intake elbow. I hate the look of the ribbed stock elbow, and they usually end up looking chalky after a few years. It was very easy to install, I was able to skip several steps because I don't have a sound tube.

Looking great man. But what's a IPA wipedown?
Are you planning on doing a clear bra at all?

An IPA wipedown is the final step before the ceramic coating. Spray & wipe with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol & water. It removes any residues left behind by the polish or anything else.

I don't plan on any other coating or film - that would need to be done before ceramic or any other sealant.

Painted my calipers with a color-matched paint kit from G2, then installed some decals. Finished over the decals with some hi-temp clear coat. Turned out great!

And the best part is, none of these small upgrades cost very much.

I have some of the bright white bulbs for the reverse lights & license plate lights to go in soon too.

I replaced my reverse light bulbs and license plate light bulbs this evening. For the license plate bulbs, I went with cheap Amazon 194 led bulbs. For the reverse light bulbs, I went with the Nokya NOK5202 hyper white 21W bulbs. Looks so much better.
