Not really.. they offered the car with the Cup2 for those that intended to track the cars. You were never forced to get the Cup2 as part of a package. The car came with PSS. Then you could upgrade to Forged wheels with PSS. Finally, forged wheels with Cup2. The swap to Cup2's was well worth the $600 for me when I bought my RS. I used that car at the track often.
