Of course the real cars will have vaccum bagged carbon fiber parts that wouldn't even bolt up to your car unless you changed the entire front clip.

The versions we're making for sale will be specific to non conversion cars. Urethane front bumper and fenders, fiberglass rears to blend into your quarters.

Yes, I just gave something away... FULL fenders and FG rears to BLEND IN TO YOUR QUARTERS. Screw that hideous bolt on flare garbage, all of these parts are made so that you DO NOT realize the car is wide bodied, it's made to look OEM.
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for the info. Modestly wide is what i’m Looking for just to fit another inch up front and still look ok on track and on the street.

Oh man, I forgot about thirdgen.org. I was a member there as well damn near 20 years ago now. I had a blue 1987 IROC. Hard top, 5 speed, G80, KC4, Borg Warner 9 bolt rear. It originally came with a 305TPI but I pulled it for a 355 carbed engine with 125hp shot of nitrous. AFR heads, Comp Cams Cam, Speed Demon carb, full length headers into 3” exhaust ( no cats). Loved that car until it was stolen.

Mark,
Hoods look amazing!!! I bought a Skorpion hood from you in March and the fitment was like a factory hood, I couldn't be happier, always get asked questions about it. Now I made the mistake of seeing this thread and am tempted to get either the IROC or ZL1 hood

Does the ZL1 have the "center cover" insert, and does the IROC come with mesh for the vents?
These look sooooo good!

Really looking forward to seeing the full thing with lots of pictures. Love the wheels. I actually have a set of IROC wheels for my 91 just because I loved those wheels so much. I'm not normally that into the custom Camaro designs most companies come up with but this one is right up my alley. Can't wait to see it.

ps. The Dick Harrel car from GMMG was one of the few that I also really liked. Wish that had been the GMMG ZL1 instead. Still an awesome car and I would love to get my hands on one.

It's wider than the ZL1 1LE but I doubt you'd know it unless they were next to each other. It's not your traditional "wide body" that's all bloated. It's like the 1969 (the fenders on the 69 were kind of pinched and pulled out, looks more like a styling choice than wide body even though it's a wide body, same here).

It's lighter as well. Yeah, the glass roof isn't light but our full vaccum bagged carbon fiber front clip, quarters and trunk shaved a LOT of weight.

I LOVE the IROC. My fondest memories of highschool are skipping school in my friend's IROC. Everytime I saw the fake news click bait that it was coming back I got excited... then... to be honest... one night I was high (I live in CA) and realized "How would GM bring it back if they never owned the name, just licensed it... WAIT, THEY JUST LICENSED IT!!!" Got a lawyer the next day.

Did our best to design a car that embodied the spirit (which to me was an all around FUN car) and, hopefully, feels like if the name had lived on this whole time this is EXACTLY what GM would have done with it.

IROC style grill.

IROC style headlight buckets.

IROC style louvers on the hood (modern though, they are heat extractors designed by the same designer who does stuff for Vorstseiner).

IROC style 3 piece spoiler.

That's as much as I could incorporate from the old car directly into this one without getting cheesey.

Well, except the rims. I'm a EXTREMELY proud of the rims, they are part of the car I designed by myself because everyone else thought there was no way to do a modern interpretation of the rims. Hopefully I proved them wrong.

After that, we simply tried to apply the best of CAMARO wherever we could and also made sure everything else made it PERFORM.

The Wilwood brakes are insane. The coil overs are fantastic and have more travel in the rear the the ZL1s everyone is complaining about. Sway bars are great. Base package being a Whipple Charged motor, CAI and Exhaust give it an honest 600+ hp to the wheels.

Yes, you will THINK you recognize a lot of ZL1 parts on it then when you really look closer (and see nothing from a ZL1 would actually bolt up to this car, we redesigned it all to make cleaner lines) you'll see it's similar to what the ZL1 is to the ZL1 1LE but even more redesigned (appearance wise).

We didn't do t-tops because we didn't want a cheesy 6th Gen trying to be a 3rd Gen (t-tops just don't go with the lines on this car in my personal opinion... and I LOVE LOVE LOVE t-tops) but part of the fun of my friend's highschool IROC was seeing the sky above you...

SO, we invested a LOT of money making a full glass roof, it is DOT approved (went through all that process) and has curves with no distortion NEVER seen before. How can I say this with confidence? The roof designer has over 700 factory concept cars under his belt. He had to develop an entire new process to form this roof. It's phenomenal.

Honestly, we've done so much to this car I forget all of it at this point. All I'll say if I made IROC fans happy with my rim design, you will NOT be disappointed with the car.

Our plan is also not to leave any market segment (price segment) out. Of course, the full car (the one that will be at SEMA) is pricey. I have over $100k in building the car thus far, not including the purchase price.

Fully optioned out, a Red Letter Edition IROC-Z (red letter meaning the Z will be red, you'll understand soon) will be priced the same as a 2017 Trans Am Super Duty just due to how much is involved in converting the car.

We will have a Black Letter Edition IROC-Z as well (black Z). A non-widebodied version that is more like the "Yenko" packages out there now.

Finally, we will have affordable parts modeled after the car. The real cars get the vacuum bagged carbon fiber parts, but we will sell similar versions in fiberglass for the average person to buy.

Same as the rims. Fully forged 3 piece rims for the real cars, cast rims for sale to the general public priced around the price of your normal "replica" rims.

Me, my wife and my designer Albert have put every penny we could find and every second we could spare into just doing our best to make a Camaro that Camaro lovers would love and most importantly appreciate the attention to "Camaro" detail involved.

I'm trying to find a teaser pic or two to leave you guys with, here's the rim pics I just posted and a little something new...

Just some EARLY in the rough pics as a thank you to this site that's helped me get where I am

Yes, we did our best to take CAMARO parts/ideas (hence using the COPO style hood, ZL1 style grill, etc...) and build them into a GEN 6 IROC-Z (hence the grill's new opening, the hood having louvers) but in a FUNCTIONAL way (our hood already dropped IAT's 13* on average... wait until this bad boy hits the track lol!).

If you pay attention, you'll even realize the IROC-Z rims I designed are a combination of the old 5 spoke and the 5th Gen ZL1 rims. I want EVERYTHING on this car to feel CAMARO down to the reverse mohawk in the glass room.

The best way I can say it is this... I cared enough about this name and it's heritage that I, a small one man company, worked my butt to EXHAUSTION to make sure I could afford to DESIGN rims FOR the car, not just stick on some aftermarket rims (even though the Ringbrothers G-Force were tempting).

I care about this name, it means a great deal to me and I am PROUD to say I had the honor of being the man (along with my wife and designer, they deserve the same credit, they are just as broke as I am and just as exhausted and have both put everything into making it the best possible) to bring it back to life.

If all goes well we want to sponsor an IROC style race for the car owners once a year. Just a dream for now but that is my goal.

Also, FYI, I live in SoCal so this was all possible. Access to 3D scanners, tooling, etc... I have amazing friends (my designer worked with Foose, runs Fusion now, our CAD guy does stuff for EVERYONE, glass guy as I said has 700 concept cars under his belt) which made this redneck dream into an OEM quality reality lol.

Sorry for rambling, I just love this car and can't wait to show it to the world
Good for you, LOVE the passion!!!!! Keep up the excellent work my man!!

Sneak peek of the color. EVERYONE was going to be doing that "primer grey" this year so... we did not. You think Camaro the only Heritage Color is Orange... too easy I'm sure others will do that... oh wait, look there's the Hot Wheels car lol... So, since the Gen 6 steals A LOT (pretty much all) it's lines from Euro cars, we went with a Euro color to show off the lines...
