Outside of these forums the 5th gen is known as the car that gave up the performance crown. It is made fun of. Its the car that got spanked by the mustang for 7 years. fatgen and slowgen is what most call them.

The sales are because of transformers and no Camaro being around for 6-7 years.

Just playing hard ball here. I liked my 2010. But other than looks being close the 6th gen is in another league. I think a lot of the 5th gen owners are very jealous. I know I would be if I wasn't able to be in a 6th gen.

That's better than your last post that you ninja deleted lol

I owned a 2010 that I built to heads/cam full bolt ons and suspension that was sold in 2014. It made 505 rwhp. You could easily find tons of my posts on camaro5

And after all that it still just wasn't engaging to drive as the 6th gen. Was about the same speed as my current bolt on car. The car was ok I guess. But I was just never thrilled with it. But im more of a performance enthusiast than anything else. I don't care about sales or how many people like my car.

I think my point is that tbe 6th gen is a hard charger but by no means was the 5th gen laying over and dieing. Ill keep this post up but dont tell anybody about my ways.

Extremely suspect. I loved my Gen5.

Never. Each one serves it purpose well. I am reminded of that anytime i drive either one. My 2013 zl1 felt like a dinosaur compared to my new 1LE.

I'm not jealous of the 6th gen. I look at them every week when I go to my local dealer and I just can't get warmed up to the new styling. Well, warm up enough to trade my 5th gen in and get in more debt for one.

They may be faster, but it's like the old 4th gen days. I remember looking at them too and even driving them when my uncle had one. However, I just couldn't get used to the styling no matter how hard I tried to like them for their amazing performance metrics at the time.

It doesn't matter anyway because when the new facelifted Mustang comes out in '18 with the 10sp auto and D.I., it will once again knock the Camaro down a peg or two and cycle repeats like it has for over 50 years.

For now, enjoy being top dog because I have a feeling that's going to end when the new '18 Mustang GT comes out later this year.

I voted a simple no and think its a silly question. Why would I want to convert a lean looking gen6 into a puffy, bloated looking gen5. I moved away from a 13 ZL1 for that reason.
