My auto ZL1 has no AFM valves nor does it ever deactivate cylinders. I had 5.7 hemi cars and trucks with cylinder deactivation, at the very least the exhaust would give it away.

The LT1,LT2,LT4,L83,L86,L87 engines have AFM cam/lifters/hardware internally. The LT5 and L8T engines do not have AFM internals.

All ZL1 LT4 engines have AFM/DOD turned off in the ECM.

The A10 and M6 both do not have AFM exhaust valves. They do have NPP exhaust valves.

Some 6th gen automatic models have both afm and npp exhaust valves but not ZL1's.
