Which one to get now is the issue, the dry one or the other one. Is there really a big difference besides the cleaning of it?

if possible could you also make a sound clip of how it sounds inside the car while driving as well as outside with the engine running?

I called AFE and really didn't get a good answer on this, I'm wondering what you guys think here. This intake comes with "aux intake port" that can be plugged. The documents say to leave it open if you want "maximum performance". I understand that, but what would be a situation that you would want to plug it?

Deep water driving

Just messin. All the plug us for is the air duct to the outside of the car. The stock one has the same duct. Leave it open if you want it to relieve air from outside of the car.

Am I the only one bothered by the GT Momentum name of the intake? I know I'm being petty but I hate that name.

Looks like a damn nice intake though. If CAI doesn't get off their butt and get theirs out soon I'm gonna have to go with this.

Not sure why everyone is up in arms about the price still.

CAI on a 5th gen was right at 399$ new
Rotofab was 320$ new. It wasn't enclosed nor had a lid with a window. Didn't need one. More of a show thing.
Most other intakes new were in the 349-370 range.

This one with discount puts it right in the same range, and it's got the pcv section, the secondary pcv, the sound tube attachment, and and optional plug for the front air duct...

We're getting a bit more features in production, for roughly the same price.

Name....Doesn't really bother me. GT to me stands for Grand touring. If it bothers ya, maybe call it an "AFE momentum" or just afe intake.

Remember it's your car, you can call it whatever you want and badge it however you want.

YOU pay the bills. Not us!

I got my Flomaster axelback installed. Deleted the muffler as well. Then put the CAI on as well. I can notice a difference in the throttle response (a bit) and it sounds better. How do I post pics on this? Thanks.

You mean you deleted the extra cat's ? Not sure why you would buy an axle back just to delete the muffler it comes with.
