Chevy dealer out IH 10 east had the same thing. They killed the lights and hit many cars and trucks.

Right across IH 10 is the county police station. Nope, did not see a thing. What about All the Lights out???

I would hope that includes rotor replacements. I doubt it does.

Either way we still don't like to see folks come on here with Zero posts selling things.
And why paint wheels with zero miles on them...

That is crazy. I know this is going to sound a bit cynical, but I blame the dealerships/manufacturers for this happening. I find it extremely annoying that the dealerships don't put wheel locks on their cars. I bought a 45k + Camaro SS and was haggling with them over a $100 part after the fact. Those things are dirt cheap to make and while I know they're not 100% effective, I'm sure they would have helped reduced the number of cars that had their wheels stolen.

Hopefully those Camaros don't have extensive axel or brake damage...

Wheel locks are good to stop a meth head but wouldn't have even been a speed bump for these guys. See you tube for tens of ways to instantly by pass a wheel lock that is threaded on.

I agree, wheel locks only stop the laziest of wheel thieves.

And wheel locks have also been known to frustrate thieves so instead of stealing the wheels they damage the car, break the windows, key it, or bring a flat bed and just steal the whole damn thing.

Sickening, and I'm sure they were real careful about how and where they jacked up the cars from! Probably all kinds of undercarriage damage on those cars! Unbelievable! A bunch of somebodys need to be shot!

Wheel locks are easy to break with a shaved socket to protect the wheel and a spiked air chisel bit to smash the middle of the lug. It can damage the stud, but don't harm the wheel. As mentioned, wheel locks only stop crack heads. So if you don't live in the ghetto, they are worthless if you are targeted.

As for the damage estimate. Looks like the cars aren't getting shit for protection from a single 2x4 under the middle of the car. Bottom of chassis is likely scraped to shit, welds need to be inspected, car is resting on front air dam, rotors and likely the exhaust as wheel. Time and materials for all of that will be 5-6k per vehicle, plus the GM estimate of 5k for wheels and tires, makes it 10-11k per car. That is 1/3 the cost of those LT trims.

All that being said... I'm thinking of calling this dealer and making an offer of 40% off one of these poor victims. Don't want them to repair or replace anything. I'll have wheels & tires delivered and then get it shipped to me. Great deal for a daily driver so I don't care about downtime on my 2SS.

What better way to avoid suspicion than to advertise ahead of time?....Theft was well co-ordinated, planned out....Why not advertise ahead of time?...

Lining up buyers beforehand brings in the cash sooner....Just sayin'...
