A question are ther 2 or 4 cats on the SS? I have read here and there both things that the second "cat" is a resonator. It does not look like one. But wierdly the o2 sensor is only after the first cat? If four cats how do the car know if the rear cats are functioning?

Not sure if the gearing change on the CA6 hits the tune. If it does and the dealer doen't do it might as well go all in. I have heard of people buying a new computer the tune goes in (ECU?) to tune. But where exacly is the flash count saved?

I do see what you mean about the CA6 SS M6 gearing. It is exacly the Gen5 1LE gears but with a 3.73 final versus the 1LE 3.91. Say I have a 1LE 3.91 diff with good gears. I wonder if those will fit my SS?
Richmond says their 4.10 fits the 8.6" all years so I would assume it fits.

I'm lucky I figure I break it, time for a better one. Hopefully it ain't the engine.

I don't know if the second ones are resonators or cats, but many cars have secondary unmonitored cats. So, I wouldn't doubt it if they were cats.
