It sounds pretty loud at idle, but you really need to rev the engine a couple times. I'm not sure how good this is going to sound throughout the RPM range, which is very important for an exhaust system.

I still prefer Borla's upcoming offering. It's a full catback system and works with the 6th gen's existing NPP controllers, so you can adjust the loudness to some degree. Rather than toggling between quiet and loud with stock NPP, you can toggle between louder and loudest essentially using their system. Plus, you get quad tips which is way more badass looking overall.

I have their ATAK system on my 5th gen, and when you rev the engine, its a nice symphony of crackles and pops with loud, metallic thumping of the engine note acting as the backing track.

It looks and sounds good! A nice alternative to the NPP system.

How much you think it'll cost to buy and have it installed / tuned ?

Borla's exhausts are 'pricey', but you get what you pay for. Top notch build quality, high grade materials and superior fit and finish. And guaranteed not to drone, which is huge. I paid $650 for my axle backs exhaust for my '12 5.0. I've priced out C7 NPP and they're around $1700-2000.

It might be possible for a good exhaust shop to keep the NPP tips / actuators and jury rig / weld it into your new set up, too. But I'd suspect that would also be pricey on build / labor times.

No tunes are needed with adding cat back exhaust systems.
