When exporting to a different country entirely, not Hawaii which already stated is a part of the US. There are separate import taxes, customs taxes, and other fees imposed by each country. Depending on which country, those fees can add up to $20k+. Don't expect to save any money just because you have a US dealer shipping the car for you.

I guarantee you there are import fees, whether they are called taxes or not, that's why a SS Camaro costs 60k according to you. Too much money too made in customs, no country is stupid enough to not charge for goods entering their country.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Courtesy Delivery.
You can buy from one dealer and have it shipped to another dealer. The receiving dealer charges a fee, somewhere between 300 to 600 to prep and deliver the car. No shipping charges or carrier needed. I was going to do this with my C7 when I was buying from a dealer on the east coast and have it shipped to a dealer here in Michigan. Not all dealers do it, just call around. |

I think because he wants it in Bahrain Courtesy Delivery does not apply. For a whole bunch of reasons, many of which have been posted by me or others.

I wanted to bump this thread because I saw several Floridians on here, and I was also interested to find good dealers in my area. What was people's experience with Stingray chevy? Any other good (or bad dealers to avoid) in the Tampa Bay area? Also heard Lorenzo Bomnin is good on price but if I can get the same deal in my area without going to South FL, I'd rather do that. Finally, I know several have ordered from Becky, and I find that intriguing as well, and it sounds pretty good but if I'm not in Michigan what, if anything, does that add to cost? Btw, I have contacted Becky by email so I'm not opposed to ordering from there, but of course, if there are local dealers that are comparable, I'd be curious. This is especially true if it's a car on the dealer's lot. Ordering, I think I'd go with Becky first (provided I understand the shipping process), but cars on the lot are obviously more convenient. Additional thoughts or suggestions?
