"Right now, you're claiming twice the gas the mileage some are getting."
****** Seems you have a problem with that concept. I already stated that I've checked it several times. (Yeah, the simple way.) You don't believe it---your problem! And I'm not the only one getting the mileage numbers, either. Haven't you noticed? |

I think the saying is "go pound sand", but I could be mistaken.

Heard a corn farmer use "mud" in referral to something a little sloppy, akin to "poux" from his cows. More descriptive?

I love getting 10 mpg on my Z, totally worth it. I can bump that to 15, both city, but it's no where near as fun. Could get 24 or more on highway, but its gonna take me longer to get where I'm going, I'll stick with my 20 at about 90. Tanks large enough that I still have to take a piss before having to fill it back up on road trips. Stay hydrated!

1st tank 17.5 mpg. Not bad as I'm breaking it in. Still keeping it under 4k rpm and no quick starts but giving it gas and varying rpms.
I can see mpg varying A LOT with the 6MT depending on driving habits. The engine has a lot of low end torque so you can keep r's very low when cruising around. I'm surprised how well 1st > 4th actually works coming from a turbo 4. It's no problem at all. 1>3>5 works great too. |

The LT1 will easily cruise at 1050 - 1100 RPM without really lugging the engine... I'm usually in 5th by the time I hit 31 - 32MPH while cruising, lol. The 1 - 4 skip shift works good, because of the low end torque... But once you've gotten used to the car, you start missing the 1 - 2 shifting. It has a lot more low end grunt than I figured it would, for daily driving... Even in Tour mode, though, I keep it in Sport all the time, now... Don't even need throttle to get rolling, lol.
